Before you head into the city, there is something else you have to ask.

Surprisingly it is Eiona who speaks up first.

So the Ash Plague is a disease that slowly turns people into ash. But at the very least it is not a death sentence.

Eiona speaks very plainly about the lost of their family. While knowing there is a cure brought you a little comfort, the thought that not everyone can afford it rips that feeling right away.

Cal, always the empathetic one, offers Eiona some sympathy.

The argument comes to an uncomfortable end, with Normer not able to say anything more on behalf of Varicorp and whatever the [Tourmaline Throne] is.

So that seems to be where you have to leave this conversation.The Ash Plague is a disease that never seems to go away, and even though there is a cure for it, not everyone has access to it.

The silence in the air presses down on all of you.

Once again you introduce yourself to the Guard, and Eiona hands over their merchant papers.

That little piece of paper has been a huge benefit to you and your team.

So this the child of Graves, they have the same stoic demeanor, but Normer seems a little less sure of themselves. You guess that just has to do with age and experience.

An outbreak? An outbreak of what? You don’t know what kind of diseases this world has and how you could possibly catch any.

Cal is still trying to ease the tension and get you into the city as smoothly as possible, but you have to wonder, how do you know you are clean?

At the mention of the scanner, Eiona looks concerned.

What is the [Ash Plague]? The Genuine fear in Eiona’s voice is not comforting.

And yet another term you know nothing about?[Werewolves]? Plagues? Your head is swimming with all of these new terms.You hear a strangled noise behind you, an when you turn around, you see Cal in a full on panic attack.

There is a deep and unrestrained terror in Cal’s voice, more so than you have heard from them in a while.Whatever the Ash Plague is, apparently Werewolves are far worse.

Gestalt shifts about on their feet, clearly uncomfortable. Eiona and Cal have deeply frightened expressions on their faces, and Normer doesn’t make eye contact, clearly upset by the news they had to share.

You feel like you want to ask questions but you fear what fuel you might add to this fire.
