Poem #015: Fire
You make my heart burn My heads on fire You’re all I need to survive You take me higher When I’m low I need you hard and slow
You churn me up inside This pain in my chest Tears me apart Puts me to the test I need you to devour I need you to deflower
Pull your petals from your skin Every carnal sin Till we’re nought but a mess In pools of our excess I’m yours and you are mine Until the end of time
You tease me, please me need me Impress me, caress me and possess me I want your heart and soul I want you broken or whole I need to feel your touch Goddamn I want you so much
We’re dogs on our chains Picking at our brains Through all this pain Dammit let’s do it again We’re nothing but dirt Free me, make me hurt
I want to break you as you do me Make each other whole I want it I need it
Don’t ever stop Because we’re bad Because we’re nasty Because we love it
Ok. Seems Tumblr is getting a bit more tedious at uploading these with the correct spacing and everything. I’ve also noticed I’m inconsistent with my author notes. Well... maybe eventually I’ll get around to fixing that when I can bother to sort out a new theme for my blog and/or spruce it up a bit.
Latest offering, was more spontaneous than anything else I had ever posted but then I can’t really explain my writing process because I can’t really say I have one in all honestly.
Now normally I feel I should put a 18+ notice on this since it’s a bit sexual and risque, but given how often I’ve heard Maroon 5 on the radio with This Love, amongst some other songs by others artists, I needn’t think I should have to bother.
Since we’re on the topic of music though, the theme of this was someone inspired by Nine Inch Nails (are they nine, one-inch nails, or since it was originally just Trent Reznor, shouldn’t it be a singular nail? Meh, I’m sure that joke has been done before). Being industrial and given the subject and concept of The Downard Spiral as an album, it sometimes ends up being on one of my music playlists for when one of my depressive moods hit or sometimes after an anxiety attack when my personality shifts and lets a few darker desires to come through. Either way I didn’t really come to talk about that... or did I? I don’t know. Fun thing about author notes, they’re not written out in advanced. They’re written now. Write... I’m sorry.... right now. OK maybe not right now, it depends on when you’re reading it. But at the time of publishing would probably be better. Means it follows more of a train of thought, except it gets derailed a bit I guess... sorta the opposite of the opposite of the Poem Train poem I did ages ago whenever I did that... except that didn’t quite get derailed.
Where am I going with this?
Oh yeah. I'm not sure quite how I'd read this one, thought I had the thought it would be best recited as thought you're dirty talking someone.
