actor! kang taehyun x actor! gn reader filming a kissing scene way too many times. (1.1k) warnings :( lots of kissing (duh), yearning, suggestive themes, lmk
The director called cut for the seventh time, the crew growing visibly stressed. Taehyun stepped back, running a hand through his perfectly styled hair, expression caught somewhere between a professional patience and genuine concern.
“yn,” he said softly, low enough for you to hear “you tilting the wrong way.”
You knew that. Ofcourse you knew. You had practiced the scene to pinpoint perfection just few days ago— the slow walk to the bedroom door, the whispered confession, and finally the kiss. By your standards, this was supposed to be a cake walk in the park.
But every single time, you had found an excuse, a structurally sound hiccup in every single shot, a last second glance away that led Taehyun to your lips again. And again.
“sorry, just want to get it right,” you had said with your most unapologetic actor smile.
Taehyun’s eyes flickered, he was too smart for this— you knew his tells. The way his jaw tightened when he was too deep into a thought or the way his eyes lingered a second too long on your mouth. You weren’t new to this, to him.
“right,” he said almost too dryly, “the scene.”
The director waved you both back to the starting positions.
“let’s run it back from the top. Guys make sure this is our last take for today,” the director ordered right before “action!”
Right on the beat, Taehyun laxed himself on the door frame, body leaning back just enough to tempt you— no the character you were playing.
The next course of action for you was simple, really. You were supposed to close the distance between, because ofcourse. Then, finally kiss him leading back to the bed.
So, you did just that, just two strides and you were almost chest to chest. One hand found the hinge of his jaw while other braced itself against the wall beside his head.
With a slight pull, you placed the first of many kisses on his lips, his once tucked away hands came to rest on either sides of your face angling it however he wanted it.
The moment his hands frames your face, you knew you were done for.
Taehyun kisses like how he did everything else— meticulously, with an intensity that made you forget that you were still, in a studio, surrounded by dozens of people because all you could feel was his presence.
His thumbs traced the line of your cheekbones, as he tilted your head, by then, his mouth was again on yours like it has never left before.
Your hand slid from the jaw to his hair, pulling them a bit, teasing, resisting.
You let out a sound, when he bit you in retaliation. It escaped before you could stop it, swallowed by Taehyun the very next moment as he kissed you again.
“That wasn’t in the script,” you murmured—your line, but not. The character was supposed to say it breathless, wondering. You just sounded wrecked.
Taehyun’s eyes fluttered open. Dark. Waiting. His thumb pressed against your lower lip where he’d bitten.
“mmh,” he grunted into the kiss which made your chest tighten.
“You’re supposed to pull me inside,” you said against his mouth in character this time.
“I know.” His voice was shaking. His knees were shaking.
You felt the exact second they buckled. A tremor in his thighs, a shift of weight. You caught him, almost.
But he was trembling. Actually trembling. Fingers shaking where they gripped your shirt. Breath coming in short, uneven pulls against your mouth.
Taehyun.
“hey,” You wanted to take his name.
His response was to pull you down.
to the floor—the couch was too far, the bed was behind the door neither of you had reached yet. But he sank. Knees bending. Body sliding down the door frame until he was eye-level with your chest, then your stomach, then—
“Cut.”
The director’s voice was sharp. The spell shattered.
Taehyun looked up at you from where he’d dropped. One knee on the floor. One hand still curled loosely around your belt loop. His lips were red. His hair was ruined. His eyes were bright.
He didn’t look away from you. Didn’t move to stand.
“I got carried away,” he said.
Someone on the crew coughed. Someone else muttered something that sounded a lot like 'sure you did'.
The director had called off the rest of the schedule. Something about needing a “creative reset” and “two actors who clearly forgot this was a professional production.” You hadn’t stuck around to hear the rest.
Now you were heading out, bag slung over your shoulder, street clothes replacing the costume you’d worn for takes too many. The parking lot was mostly empty. The sun had set an hour ago.
And there, leaning against your car like he’d been waiting all along, was Taehyun.
His hair was still ruined. He hadn’t fixed it. His lips were still red. He’d changed into a loose sweater and jeans, but he looked exactly like he had on the floor—
“You’re blocking my car,” you said.
“I’m aware.”
You stopped a few feet away. The parking lot light buzzed overhead. A car passed on the street beyond.
“oh?” you question, stepping closer, fingers already mending the strands of hair that had led astray. The moment your fingers touched his hair, his eyes pressed shut.
“You didn’t have to wait,” you said quietly.
“I know.”
He opened his eyes. In the buzzing fluorescent light of the parking lot, he looked younger. Softer. Like the scene had stripped something away and he hadn’t bothered to put it back.
“You’re fixing my hair,” he observed.
“You ruined it.”
“You ruined it first.” But he tilted his head into your touch anyway, just slightly, just enough to let you know he wanted it.
Your hand stilled. The silence between you was thick with everything you hadn’t said in front of the cameras.
“the director hates us,” you tried.
Taehyun’s mouth twitched. “the director is going to use every single take in the b-roll. she hates us but she’s not stupid.”
You laughed—a real one, startled out of you. "yeah?”
“Yeah.” He was looking at your mouth again. He’d done it a hundred times today. It still made your chest tight.
You pursed your lips together, “hey, why don’t we continue this at my house?”
