Blackwall
God where would I even start with Rota? She just... really loves him. It was mainly just physical attraction at first, maybe mixed with some admiration for Wardens, she never thought she’d see one. But then he kept...praising her...and valuing her...even seeing her as desirable... was new and strange to her. She rejected it at first, thinking no one would ever truly feel those things for her, but in spite of the lies... all those things were true. So when that one big truth came out, she realized she loved him, and that she did not care about his past. At the end of it, she is ride or die for him.
Esras also greatly admired him, and like with Dorian, I think Blackwall really benefited from having someone so sunny and empathetic in his life. Esras’s knowledge of Wardens and Blights was a bit more distance than Rota’s, all the more reason for him not to suspect anything. Although honestly even if he had been from a place that had been effected by the Blight or had more Warden sightings... Esras could sense Blackwall was private and perhaps even hurting over something, but he wasn’t going to try and analyze every word. He did what he could and supported him, just as Blackwall was supporting their cause. Esras sent him to the Wardens when the truth came out, as it felt to him like a re-balancing of the universe, since that was the actual Warden’s intent.
