Jayden was thrilled when she found out that her sister, Abby, was engaged. Jayden had been living in London for a few years, but she made it a point to come home for the engagement party. She got a flight home with her son, Alexander, and got situated. She helped Abby set the party up and made sure that everything was set to go.
Now that the party was actually happening, Jayden felt a bit of relief. She was finally going to meet the man that won her sister over, and her future brother-in-law. Once the party got into full swing, Jayden barely noticed; she was in the kitchen, making sure all of the food was set up and ready while the party guests were out in the backyard. When she finally got a moment to breathe, she took a glass of juice and headed outside to find Alexander. On her way, she heard her sister calling her to meet the man she was to marry.
Jayden turned to see her and nearly dropped her cup. No. It couldn’t be him. He probably had a brother...a brother that looked just like him. Yeah, that was it. Jayden smiled at Abby and her fiance before waving.
“Hey you two. So this is the one who stole my sister’s heart.” Jayden said, putting on her best genuine smile.
