finally, amadeo manages to track asher down and he taps the back of his arm after he catches up to him. “hey, asher.” he smiles while taking a swig of his water bottle. running throughout the training grounds has made him build up a sweat, but he’s trying to make sure that he’s composed enough now. “one of the first times we met, you were hanging out in your own radiance.” he remembers the heat, how asher feels like his own sun. “have you ever meditated before or done something like yoga?”

the newcomer had been hanging out on the outskirts of house mageia for a couple of minutes now, just looking over the building. while it wasn’t his new home, it was one that the nymphs had directed him towards once they heard who his mother was. 

as he grabbed his right wrist with his left hand, he swung on his heels a bit while staying in place. then he saw someone coming out of the building and he smiled warmly over at them. this was one of the famous magic wielders, right? 

“hi, how’s it going!?“ he was a bit too cheery for it to be this close to the night, but the moon seemed to give him newfound energy. “my name’s genaro, i was just checking the place out. i’m in house aspida, but a nymph told me to stop by here once she heard my mother is hecate.“

"can you stop time to avoid conflict with someone?” not that loreto actually thought asher would do it and that wasn’t even the main reason he came to find the man, but it was the first thing that came out of his mouth. “apologies if that was rude, i guess my curiosity is getting the better part of me without knowing it.” sometimes he ended up thinking about what the others could do with their abilities since his were always on his mind, quite literally. the priest shifted so that he was leaning on his right heel, distributing his weight so that his left wouldn’t fall asleep. “i just thought it’d be a good way to manage yourself around conflict. anyway, i was actually going to ask if you liked the holidays? looks like the camp is gearing up in that direction.”

"Miss Lamia, right?" he greeted with a wide, Cheshire cat smile. "I'm Asher Jones, and the beauty up there is Trinity," he gestured to the Chimera above him. "First of all, welcome to Olympus," at that, he set a pouch of 100 drachmae in front of her. "To help you get settled in," hands tucked in his pockets, he licked his tongue for a moment. "I have a question."

"the smile is something that i used to see on my dolls.” she was just going to leave out the fact that they were technically a part of the nightmare realm. lamia took the coin with a soft smile and gave it to the twins before they rushed off. “thank you for this, it means more than you know.” the chimera was also something that was quite intriguing to watch.

eyes narrowed in on asher when he said that he had a question. lamia crossed her arms over her chest and nodded slightly. “of course you do.” she motioned over to a boulder and went on over to sit across from it. head titled slightly towards the side as she tried to study the man. “what’s the question?”

with everything going on in his mind, amadeo felt like he needed to go out for a morning jog. back home that was always how he ended up clearing his head, but he couldn’t end up doing that in public. here, no one was going to judge or jump him. well they might have because of his mother, but that wasn’t something he was worried about.

as he jogged back towards the houses, he noticed there was someone else awake at this hour. “hey!” he called out, although with a lot of energy it was pretty low so he couldn’t wake anyone up. “i didn’t think anyone would be up at this hour.” he smiled softly as he moved his hands from his head to his hips. “i’m amadeo prospero. i would shake your hand, but i don’t want to get you sweaty.” even if he had gloves on.

"that thing wasn’t alive.” when they were all reunited, loreto wasn’t going to hesitate to give his opinion on the dinosaur that was left for the camp to take care of. the fact that it blasted everyone and was going insane was one thing. the fact that their mind was completely empty was another. “i may not think a lot of these creatures are of god’s creation.” the priest rubbed his temple rather harshly. he needed to stop thinking about all of this, but he couldn’t. “that one especially wasn’t going to be on our side.”

FROM ASHER: ASHER saunters in to AGATHYS’ shop with smile on his face, his chimera familiar gliding right behind him in the air. “Hello, Ms. Agathys,” he set down a satchel of 50 drachmae on the counter. “Asher Jones, son of Cronus,” his eyes danced along the the items in the apothecary. “Honestly I don’t even know if you’re the right person to ask about this, but do you know where I could find books on the draconic languages? I’m trying to learn. My familiar can speak it, but I wanted to learn as well.”

as asher all but skips in, chipper as could be, the witch levitates away the scale she was using to weigh some potent, magical ingredients. “draconic?” she laughs, almost uncharacteristically loud. the corners of her lips curl into a cheshire grin and there’s a twinkle behind the milky film of her eyes. “why, if there’s a book that teaches you an old, dead language, direct me to it.” she taps her ashes into an ashtray on her counter. “an ancient library, or clio, the muse of history, would be your best bet.”

@asher-jones asked: With a bag of 150 gold in hand, Asher made his way up to AGATHYS’ shop for the first time, an easy smile across his lips. “Hi Miss Agathys,” his tone was warm, as he set the bag of gold on her table, though his eyes were calculated as they idly browsed the area. "So, I have been reading this book in the library about special weapons that respond to someone’s mental ability, and not there strength. Can you tell me anything about that?”

the boy that walks into her shop is not a familiar face but agathys smiles as if she’s welcoming a grandson. the grin is short-lived, however, as she sweeps some dust off the countertop and gently pushes up her curls with the other hand. she looks rather youthful, considering she probably was at least a few thousand years old. “well, that’s a very broad spectrum, you’re prepared to sit here and listen for hours?” she questions with an arch of her brow. “because i’m not going to sit here and talk for hours.” agathys takes a puff of her mint-green pipe. “that would be more so in hera’s domain. mental abilities are different from normal arcanes.”
