the actual problem (read: tasty drama) with ttrpg asherverse asher is that in an universe where ressurection is a thing he'd absolutely obsess over achieving it with no regard for the consequences or damages along the way

potential problem for the pcs to stumble over 👀

we are re-watching gladiator and what i have learned is that, unfortunately, asher looks a /lot/ like joaquin phoenix in that role 🙈

which made me think of belen and devin talking to friends, trying to describe what asher looks like

so far i have "prince erik from little mermaid, but fucked up", maybe "timothee chalamet with a rad facial scar" and now, "a comercially pretty joaquin phoenix"

putting asher and devin in d&d has fun ramifications, such as devin being able to cast calm emotions on asher

i imagine devin making sure he saves a spellslot or two for the end of the day just in case asher had a bad day

i like that i gave asher bad eyesight throughout his story cause he'd be so pissed it's nothing he can just beat with sheer willpower but also he could easily pay for lasik or something but i feel he would have a problem admitting his vanity is bad enough to have surgery just so he won't have to wear glasses or contacts

timothée chalamet in bones and all made me realize how alarming asher’s weight would be when he meets devin so now i picture him snacking on some high fat/calorie stuff whenever he can, he might not be able to eat regularly so he figures the stuff he does eat should at least keep him going for a while and not make him look like a skeleton even more than he already does

just carrying around some kind of trash food always

you look at him during the day there's a 30 % chance he’s chewing on some gummy worms or whatever

eating spoonfuls of peanut butter from the jar during classes the second he can stomach eating something to make the most out of it

i like to picture asher very very violence averse, like he'd never harm somebody else, and he is, but considering what he's surrounded by so often he might just have a different threshold of what regular people consider violent

ahshhsjd belen & devin would have so much fun watching the invitation (2022) cause belen would be like: look, its your boyfriend, and devin would be like: oh shut up, but two scenes later he'd be like: god damn it that's literally just asher

belen later asks if devin is sure asher isn't actually a vampire (this would be very fun for supernatural au when devin would go: haha very funny but internally be like.. he's a demon actually)
