There is an age old tradition in Australia Ashes series, one known only to the players and very much kept out of the public eye: the winning team from each Test get their pick of an opposition player. It helps heighten the stakes of the already deeply competitive series, makes each side want to win that little bit more. Not only can they fuck a side over on the pitch, they can do so from within the dressing room too.

Pat may be out for a back injury, but he's certainly not going to let traditions slide.

Chapter 1 - The Wager Placed

Shell shock only half covers what Ben is feeling after the sudden first Test loss, but he's about to get even more shocked when Pat reminds him of an age old Australia Ashes series tradition.

the setting: post-finale empires smp s1.

the characters: gem, fwhip, and pixl.

the premise: pixl shows up out of nowhere a week after the final battle with xornoth after gem and fwhip have touched down for the night. he's been missing for months. he really, really needs a hug.

I have come to the conclusion that I have been sitting on too many pieces of Ashes and Penny Parker art, which there is a ton of because I draw them when I’m stressed, and I will now curse you, so :)

this is the most recent one lol, about a month old i think

I don’t like this one as much but I thought I’d try something more realistic, so :/

Annddddd lastly, something I think I’ll be doing for future stories, is like, a cover if this were an actual book/movie, just cuz it’s fun

Note the wild style changes are because these are all months apart lol

lol this is so fucking much, but drawing them is the only way I can process concepts or dive back into writing. there were a couple other i wanted to post but they’re focused on future scenes so i’ll sit on them for a while longer :) I hope you like them!!
