Wow, I have not posted in a while....Anywho! Here is Crutio, a little evil lad. An old painting of him. Kinda proud of it. Got the clean restore version, the old version before restoration, and a full non-framed version.
lore: Crutio, the king of the Corruption kingdom. This is the only surviving painting of the king. It is said that this painting is cursed, and he watches through those eyes. This painting, in the present day, is found in the History Museum, Ullithias Historic Museum, found in the Capital of Ashgale. In this painting, he is said to be 17, in his military uniform. Holding his famous sword, the flesh of gods, said to be made out of the flesh of the corruption god, and holds a shard of the demigod crystal. It is said that he took this picture before the battle of Windstock, where the Corruption kingdom won, losing only 300 soldiers compared to the allied kingdoms, which lost 760 soldiers. Where about half of those deaths were caused by Crutio. However, the time when this picture was taken has not been fully confirmed.

Kate
Background:
Princess of Celesta, a powerful kingdom.
Lost her brother in the war with the Flair Kingdom.
Descendant of Alitha, a legend and hero during the Corruption wars
Can use control the amount of % for her Amino and talk to him.
Personality:
Strong, disciplined, charismatic.
Tries to be rational and diplomatic but struggles with pride and obsession.
Has a sibling-like bond with Jacker.
Character Arc:
Becomes increasingly unstable and distant as she seeks power to protect others.
Searches for a way to beat Flair kingdom
Eventually loses herself to Crutio’s possession.
Dies in her soul after weakening Crutio and Jacker kills him, thus killing her as well
Jacker Hero (aka Jacker Jelly in Season 1)
Background:
Comes from a lighting clan, originally from the light kingdom but had to escape due to the Corruption wars
Lives in the Celesta Kingdom with his cold, assassin father and two older brothers.
Has a medical condition where he can’t use his ability without causing his body harm.
Personality:
Hopeful, selfless, energetic despite his pain.
Deeply loyal and empathetic.
Look up to others, especially Kate and Ben.
Character Arc:
Learns to believe in himself despite others’ views on his family and condition.
Falls in love with Ben.
Suffers greatly after Ben’s death and becomes consumed with grief and rage.
Eventually kills Crutio in the final battle.
Chia
Background:
Kate’s best friend and moral compass.
Initially not a fighter — stays in the background.
Personality:
Motherly, responsible, witty.
A peacemaker who bottles up emotions.
Caregiver of the group (cooks, worries, nags lovingly).
Character Arc:
Feels helpless seeing her friends suffer.
Trains herself to fight, eventually becomes a general.
Learns that anger is valid, especially through her rivalry with Fred.
Embraces her voice and leadership, no longer hiding behind kindness.
Fred
Background:
Corruption user from a farming village.
Family was murdered by anti-Corruption locals.
Saved and radicalized by Crutio’s cult.
Becomes friends with Kate after being sent as a mission from the cult
Personality:
Pretends to be dumb and very kind
Sucker for sweets and good meals
Blunt, sarcastic, deeply loyal to Crutio.
Feels morally justified in his betrayal.
Hides inner conflict behind aggression.
Character Arc:
Betrays the group to restore balance and equality but in a harmful manner.
Wants to end monarchic tyranny, believes Kate is a corrupt symbol.
Has a tragic ideological clash with Chia.
Defeated by her and arrested.
Curtio
Background:
The prince of the light kingdom
Once a kind boy, befriended by Deon (a lightning user).
Survived execution after being cursed with corruption ability by his sister by illegal magic
Betrayed by the world and turned bitter.
Made a deal with the crystal and became an Amino to resurrect through possession.
Personality:
Cold, manipulative, philosophical.
Views life as transactional.
Struggles with guilt and buried emotions.
Character Arc:
Possesses Kate, believing she’s his key to rebirth.
Uses corrupted Ben and Fred to torment Jacker.
Fights Jacker and Kate’s soul in the final battle.
Dies after a final duel with Kate in the soul realm and by Jacker killing him

Deon
Background:
Lightning user and Crutio’s childhood friend.
Symbol of Crutio’s lost innocence and broken promise.
Jackers ancestor
Arc:
Unknowingly appears in Crutio’s memories, was the one present when Crutio first died
His song and image live on through Jacker.
Mr. Hero (Jacker’s Father) *
Background:
Cold assassin and Lightning user.
Keeps Jacker at emotional distance.
Arc:
Later wounded; tells Jacker he’s proud of him before dying .
Tash
Background:
Leader of the Hunters, a long-lived shape-shifting race made from dead cells.
His father was betrayed by Crutio during the wars.
Personality:
Cynical and fierce, but principled.
Blames humans for monsterizing his people.
Arc:
Joins the group after Jacker helps a Hunter.
Teaches Kate how to control Corruption abilities.
Parcel*
Background:
Friend of Kansin.
Becomes Jacker’s soul-body combat trainer.
Kansin*
Background:
Kate’s stern sword-fighting trainer.
Believes in discipline and duty.
King Edward*
Background:
Puppet ruler of the Corruption Kingdom.
Listens more to advisors; weak-willed.
Joseph
Background:
Prince of the Flair Kingdom.
Holds Alitha’s bow.
Kate’s political and emotional rival.
Uses magic, which is an illegal thing to do
Tries to help the crystal as a thank you for helping him see
Arc:
Loses his powers when Fred destroys the crystal.
Plays a role in the final war but is not the true antagonist.

This blog is about the story and background information of Ashgale, a story that I have been developing for years now. Ashgale is the name of the island where the story is on. The story follows the characters Kate Bou and Jacker Hero as they learn to get stronger. With their friends Chia, Ben and Fred follow along in their adventures. Through the story we learn of the island and its culture and social rules.

Story:
Kate Bou, princes of Celestia, distant since birth to be a legend. She trains hard to reach that goal. While leading a the royal army into war with the Flair Kingdom.
Jacker Hero, one of the last lightning user to exist. Grapples to be a good person while being part of a wanted crime family. Grapples
One day the Hero family moves in to Celstia. When visiting the kingdom inner shops he bumps into Kate and soon a friendship blooms. Kate teaches Jacker how to fight and to be strong and Jacker teaches Kate to be kind and merciful. However darkness looms in the shadows, as Kate might not be so much of a good person as Jacker believes.
