I thought one day she’d do a companion piece with Spark and Candela as sort of a “back cover”, and while that day may yet still come, I decided to try my hand at designing the “full cover”. I also made solo, duo, and team-spirit versions of everyone for phone backgrounds, too, so look forward to those! On a mushy, feelsy note: Thank you so, so much surfi for all the time and effort you put into ATWWTTA. Even though we haven’t had much for canon content this year - which, yanno, burnout is a thing as is the GLOBAL PANDEMIC we’ve had to deal with - we just want you to know that what you’ve created is truly special. Even if you never find it in yourself to return to updating the comic, the community that has formed around your work truly appreciates the world and characters you’ve given us. This year, the 4th annual celebration of And The World Will Turn To Ash, is known as The Year of the AUs because even a lack of canon updates can’t stop the overwhelmingly inspirational creativity of this fandom. Let the celebration begin!

‘A Spark of Innocence’ part I list | next A fanart picture story of @surfacage‘s And The World Will Turn To Ash For the @ashiversary aka the first anniversary celebration of Ash made by fans to thank Surfi for giving us the wonderful story and characters! The picture story got a bit out of hand and I was also writing a long fic turned out slightly longer than expected so it’s only the first episode out of (??) and the following ones will be updated in the next couple of weeks as I finish them.
