i gotta say, i love how the show is showing murderbot's speed. in the books it often laments at how long humans take to do anything, with it's processing speeds and bodily movements being so much faster. in the last episode, they showed it with murderbot just BEING there at gurathin to threaten him suddenly. this time, it was the speed at which it just came in and shot (very accurately, gurathin was not in danger of getting shot, murderbot is just a dick lol) leebeebee before her tiny little human brain could even process her threat and think about pulling the trigger.

those parts make me happy.

(i'm also enjoying the creators sticking to the aroaceness of murderbot even tho i think they're going about it really clunkily and awkwardly but at least they're trying)

it makes me so upset with the duffers when you learn eduardo wanted argyle to like actually *be* in the "2 days later" scenes with lines but they literally told him no, just stand there. like.....wtf guys. why did the end of st4 suck so much? it could have been great!

just rewatched the whole kastle diner scene in 2x11 and it's literally the most insane thing i've ever watched in my life

i understand why the show leaned heavily into the dynamic--they're literally dynamite on screen

i love how most of the dialogue of the other person is on shots of the opposing person. frank talks, the shot's on karen; karen talks, the shot's on frank. obsessed with how cinegraphically this was shot and edited together.

and how the angle of the shots changes after frank asks about matt--how the moving shot of karen from behind frank's head is a literal split in the scene and then they go hard into new angles--less close and personal, further away as they look at a bigger picture that doesn't involve just the two of them. !!! *insert poetic cinema meme*

oh and frank's speeches are always on point, i just wow
