Sitting in his car out the front of Lauren’s building, Seth, formally known as Simon just looked forward, his hands still gently resting a top of the steering wheel as he blinked slowly. He didn’t know why he suddenly felt tired, as if the weight of what he’d been trying to express with Lauren for months was pushing him into some sort of numbing feeling. Simon had texted Lauren in a moment of pure desperation that morning, asking if he could come over — it had taken the male nearly five hours, but here he was sitting in his car out the front of her place watching the sun disappear over the horizon. Pulling the keys from the ignition, Simon got out of the car. He thought about continuing the secret and just going up and sharing a meal with his soon to be ex-girlfriend, but he’d ut this off for far too long. Looking up to her window, Simon rang the doorbell twice and waited for Lauren to buzz him in.
