Big brother Ashley dropped by on a break from his usual brooding and technical genius(TM) things, and Julian eventually convinced him to put away the rubik's sphere and toss around a ball.

Ashley: How are you this strong? You're, like, five.

Julian: I'm eight.

Even Ash can be won over by Marzipan's adorableness.

Jayne: Nothing but net...

Lily: Yes, hello, taxi? Come take me back to Middleground, my best friend is being too ridiculous.

Jayne: Hmph.

You don't even play basketball! I decided at the last moment to keep Lily and Jayne as roommates until Lily figures out what's going on with her romantic situation (because if she's marrying Arthur, there is zero percent chance Jayne would be willing to live under the same roof as him, but also she kiiiiinda has a date want for Ashley now). Harper is moving back with her moms to save money; Rosalind and Camille are moving in together; and neither I nor Ashley know where he's ending up.

Anyway, it's time for my favorite uni moment of all: seeing what ridiculous outfits the game puts everyone in.

9/10, not entirely Ros's style but extremely close! They might wear this with a different colored shirt!

2/10. What is this, summer business casual? Where is the color???

7/10, points docked for mismatched seasons, but he would wear these separately.

3/10. Why would you do Harper so dirty like this, game?

9/10, not his color palette but I'll probably put a different version in his wardrobe.

Bonus: Camille! 5/10. Not for Camille, but I wouldn't change it if I saw it on a townie. Thanks for the 19,000 simoleons, btw!

I'm going to queue up some more gameplay posts, but first here's some sneak previews of where the newly graduated college kids have landed.

With Camille's 19,000 simoleons!!!, Ros and Cammy purchased this little starter house in Middleground. Rosalind's parents' house is just out of frame to the left, and I think Ros'll be happy to be so close to them, she's very family orientated.

Weirdly, I built this lot off a single random, uncredited picture that crossed my dash, and recently I came across the architecture site it originated from. I got about a third of the floorplan correct in my unknowing build, haha!

Speaking of building, a while ago @kayleigh-83 shared the floorplan to this beautiful apartment building in her game, and I thought the layout looked so good, so I stole borrowed it and moved Jayne and Lily in on the third floor. Lily got the big bedroom, Jayne was still too despondent to rock, paper, scissors her for it. (Apparently I made it one tile wider? Huh. Thank you for the floorplan, Kayleigh! <3)

Ashley: I can't BELIEVE I have to TALK to the landlord to sign my lease.

Take a chill pill, omg. Grumpy sims. Hmm, what a familiar looking building.

...and since Harper is moving home with her moms to save money, I don't have a picture for her, because I stupidly didn't think of playing them before graduating everyone, so she's gonna have to bop around on a test lot while I finish the round to keep everyone's aging in sync. >_>

Uni: Ashley 1/1

Ashley is doing what Ashley does best: schoolwork, thinking about himself, and casually ruining my lazy attempt at a narrative.

Harper: Awwww, you continue to have a secret fun side.

Ashley: I wasn't doing anything! I mean, hey.

Harper: Don't lie, I saw you making a snowman--ehhehe, okay, your hand is really cold. Off the face.

Ashley: Yeah, sorry, I didn't think that one through.

Damn, Brashen fixed his face.

Harper and Ashley hit up the diner to catch up on their post-graduation plans.

Ashley: Yeah, I don't really know where I'm landing yet. Maybe I'll stay in Greenwich, maybe I'm coming back home, it's hard to decide. Wherever I find a good apartment, I guess, though I wish I could rent another house again. It's nice to not have to hear people all the time.

Harper: Isn't your lease up? And you don't have even someplace else in mind? Where exactly are you going to live?

Ashley: At this rate? In my moms' basement, apparently.

Harper: Your house doesn't have a basement.

Ashley: That is the main problem with that plan, yes.

Ashley: Hey, here, try this--

Are you SEEING this, Rosalind???

Rosalind: I'm trying not to, thanks.

The dormies have started a band!

And Ash has found a new chess opponent: Lily.

Ashley: Can you make your move already?

Lily: Give me a sec, I'm trying to decide which opener will kick your ass the best.

Ashley: *snorts* Good luck with that.

Lily: Trying to cheat? Really? Nice try, dude.

Ashley: Can you fault a man for trying?

Lily: Yes, obviously.

Ashley: Good game--you almost had me in that last quarter for real. See you around. Or not, since we're graduating.

Lily: Samesies.

Rosalind was walking by the next morning and stopped to chat with Ashley about how their shared scholarly pursuits are going. Rosalind is cool, and one of a handful of sims who can keep up with him intellectually, but they're definitely better off now as kinda sorta friends instead of lovers. (And Ashley can't help but notice that enormous rock on Ros's ring finger anyway.)

Graduation is a bittersweet thing for Ashley. He's ready to leave campus and spread his wings elsewhere, but at the same time, he'll miss the simplicity of classes, notes, and papers. Oh well, maybe now he'll have time to write that super good poetry that's probably rattling around in that broody little brain of his.

Matchmaker: You never saw me. I wasn't here. Got it?

Ashley: What?

Genie: STAND, MORTAL, AND BEHOLD THE--zounds, it's freezing out here. Alright, gimme the wish so I can get back to my coffee. I'm missing Pleasantview Hospital.

Ashley: Hmm... it would be nice to have my tuition all paid off.

Genie: DONE.

Ashley: Watch the toes! Seriously, a sack? Do I have to carry this thing to the bank?

Genie: HASN'T ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU TO WORD YOUR WISHES CAREFULLY? FAREWELL.

Jayne: You should let me take you out for real sometime.

Louise Why? This is fun. Aren't you having fun?

Jayne: Yeah, but real dates can also be fun, princess.

Louise: Mm, and overrated.

Ashley: ...and then she just busted in and started cheering behind me while I was playing video games.

Dormie: Oh yeah, that sounds like Lady. She takes the school cheerleader thing very seriously.

Ashley: Yeah, go Jayne! Get it!

Louise: Should I make him shut up?

Jayne: Nah, he's mostly harmless.

Louise: 'Kay, well, wanna make out in the booth in the back corner?

Head Witch: My work here is done. :)

All you did was make the game freeze twice.
