Jayne: Nothing but net...
Lily: Yes, hello, taxi? Come take me back to Middleground, my best friend is being too ridiculous.
Jayne: Hmph.
You don't even play basketball! I decided at the last moment to keep Lily and Jayne as roommates until Lily figures out what's going on with her romantic situation (because if she's marrying Arthur, there is zero percent chance Jayne would be willing to live under the same roof as him, but also she kiiiiinda has a date want for Ashley now). Harper is moving back with her moms to save money; Rosalind and Camille are moving in together; and neither I nor Ashley know where he's ending up.
Anyway, it's time for my favorite uni moment of all: seeing what ridiculous outfits the game puts everyone in.
There's no hard feelings between these two, despite their spat at the graduation party. Jayne calms down pretty quickly, and Harper is well aware that she was deliberately needling him.
Has Jayne taken Lily's advice to heart? Idk, probably not, nothing happened. Or he's self-aware enough to realize that jumping into a rebound relationship with his former high school girlfriend isn't the best idea.
Jayne: *deep breath, sighs*
Harper: Hey, wanna hear this dirty joke I just learned? So three sims walk into a--
Jayne: I'm not in the mood, Harper.
Harper: What's wrong? Did your little girlfriend finally dump you? Well, don't say I didn't try to warn you--
Jayne: Watcher's sake, what the fuck's your problem with Louise anyway? You've been needling me about her for months!
Harper: What's your problem? I didn't dump you! Don't yell at me, go yell at her!
Jayne: You--ugh, never mind.
Jayne: Hey, princess, I haven't seen you around for a while.
Louise: Yeah… I had a lot of exams to get through too.
Jayne: I'm glad you made it, I actually wanted to talk to you about something.
Jayne: Louise… you know I really like you, right? I wanted to ask you if you were interested in making this official.
Louise: I…
Jayne: Like, a real relationship, dating, the whole shebang, that kind of official? Because I want that, all of it, with you.
Louise: I... I can't--I have to go--
Jayne: Well, I guess that's a pretty clear answer… dammit, I forgot to ask her about my jacket.
Okaaaaay, we're back to normal posts for the singular graduation party (because I simply don't have the attention span to play one for every household). Jayne gets the honor, and he's so excited that he didn't even put his phone away before changing into his cap and gown.
Lily: I can't believe we're sitting here, graduated, and we're both engaged! It's so exciting!
Rosalind: Oh yeah, definitely. By the way, do you and Arthur have an open re--
Lily: Ooh, hang on, that's my phone, it's probably my dad calling!
It's a Blanch heavy party--sorry, Lily. 😭 I'll have her family take her out to dinner to celebrate later.
'Cause you kiss me and it stops time / And I'm yours, but you're not mine…'
Lily: Jayne, honey, can you turn down your breakup playlist? It's starting to make the rest of us sad, and by us, I mean me.
Jayne: Sorry. I'll find my headphones.
Lily: I know you're sad, and that's totally valid. But I just want to remind you that there are a lot of women out there who aren't Louise Cobb and who don't have commitment issues from, like, completely internalizing their parental drama.
Jayne: How do you even know about that?
Lily: Well, we were friends in school too. But also GreenwichCityGossiper on Twitter. She has aaaaaaall the old tea in her archives.
Jayne: Seriously, Lily?
Lily: Why, what were you reading during finals week instead of studying?
I'm going to queue up some more gameplay posts, but first here's some sneak previews of where the newly graduated college kids have landed.
With Camille's 19,000 simoleons!!!, Ros and Cammy purchased this little starter house in Middleground. Rosalind's parents' house is just out of frame to the left, and I think Ros'll be happy to be so close to them, she's very family orientated.
Weirdly, I built this lot off a single random, uncredited picture that crossed my dash, and recently I came across the architecture site it originated from. I got about a third of the floorplan correct in my unknowing build, haha!
Speaking of building, a while ago @kayleigh-83 shared the floorplan to this beautiful apartment building in her game, and I thought the layout looked so good, so I stole borrowed it and moved Jayne and Lily in on the third floor. Lily got the big bedroom, Jayne was still too despondent to rock, paper, scissors her for it. (Apparently I made it one tile wider? Huh. Thank you for the floorplan, Kayleigh! <3)
Ashley: I can't BELIEVE I have to TALK to the landlord to sign my lease.
Take a chill pill, omg. Grumpy sims. Hmm, what a familiar looking building.
...and since Harper is moving home with her moms to save money, I don't have a picture for her, because I stupidly didn't think of playing them before graduating everyone, so she's gonna have to bop around on a test lot while I finish the round to keep everyone's aging in sync. >_>
