3/3 Hexafusion Universe Illustrations: The final illustration of these two, the one where they interact. I went a little further with this one and wrote a short drabble surrounding how this scene came to being. Poor Chibi can't catch a break it seems...
It was unfortunate series of events that led to their meeting.
Ashush is smart. He knows to save energy and only go for large amounts of easily accessibly energy. Power plants and such are his usual targets. Today, he had finished sucking a school's generator dry and found that excess energy was available. He could afford to have a little... fun.
Chibi's rehabilitaion session had been pushed back an hour, and their usual ride home couldn't pick them up afterwards. They were forced to walk home. They live in a quiet part of the city, away from downtown and nearby a school that has a nice park across the street. They often sit there or walk through to keep themself active. The doctors say getting in the habit of being active now will help them stay healthier after they've transitioned completely.
Partially transitioned Mobians are actually easier targets than one would think. Fully mechanical Mobians are equipped with defensive measures or boosters to escape easily. Fully organic Mobians aren't as worried about damaging their body and can fight back quite well. Fighting back takes too much energy from Ashush. He needs a passive target, but one that still feels fear.
It was in the last stretch of their walk home that the attack happened, just outside the school's fence. Chibi was distracted, watching their phone rather than the sidewalk. Ashush had been watching them approach from around the corner, and as soon as they were a couple yards away, he shot forward. Surprise attack. Chibi didn't see him until his teeth were inches from them.
It took all of two seconds to rip their arm from their shoulder.
Oil was everywhere. It looked like blood.
Chibi was frozen. There was no pain, but their terror and panic were potent enough to feel like pain. The emotions that came after the head transition were the most confusion part of the process. Even months after the switch, they still found themself struggling to properly express them. Which is why, in this moment, frozen before this monster that had just stripped them of a limb like it was attached with nothing but sticky tack, they could only hold their shoulder and mutter,
"My arm..."
Ashush crouched low, still clamped down on the arm which was covered in saliva. He looked ready to pounce, probably aiming for another limb or wing, but his ears swiveled around and he stopped. The boy had tried to sneak up on him, but Ashush wasn't one to be cornered. Instead, he turned on the boy, watching him closely. He only needed to stall. Just a little more time. As long as no one moved or attacked, he'd have just enough energy stored up to...

The monster was gone, but so was their arm. Chibi wasn't sure if this was good or not. At least this nice stranger was kind enough to catch them before they passed out cold.
