New podcast by Asian Sewist Collective
I recently heard that there’s a new podcast by the Asian Sewist Collective.
The first episode is about cultural appropriation in the sewing community. It’s very interesting and I learnt a lot. They do intend to expand on the discussion in later episodes. Their website also has some resources including a directory of Asian owned companies.
I’ll be interested in how the podcast develops and the topics they engage in.
There is a lack of diverse representation in the sewing community. Sometimes you get a sense that something is missing or not quite right, but you can’t quite voice it - so I hope to learn more via the podcast and their website.
