For a moment, she was afraid it wouldn’t work. The Eridium pounded through her vein, lending her the much needed power to achieve what she hoped to.
“C’mon… If this works, I will kiss the first person I see…”
Slowly, she could feel her body slip away, the bright blue and purple light of the New-U system filling her sight. It seemed like hours, and an instant at the same time before her body fell to the rough dirt. As she opened her eyes to the sunlight for the first time since she was a little girl, success completely filled her. For weeks she’d slowly been setting everything up, even adding herself to the New-U, and that had definitely not been easy.
Angel stood up on shaky legs as the sand swirled around her, sun beating on her porcelain skin. Her heart was pounding as she slowly took step after step. Everything was so big and so… bright. It hurt her eyes, but she couldn’t look away. The Dust was silent other than the sounds of sand moving in the wind and far off bandits shooting at things.
In the distance, she spotted a dark figure walking in the desert terrain. Angel was cautious, but as she moved closer, she came to see it was a young woman. A siren with dark hair and a red suit. Angel walked up to her, a part of her afraid the stranger might attack, but she was going to stay true to the promise she made the universe.
Without uttering a word of greeting, Angel walked right up to the woman and stood on her tiptoes. Violet. The woman had eyes the color of violets. Angel leaned forward and pressed her lips to the woman’s awkwardly, blushing brightly as she did so. It wasn’t very long, and Angel pulled away, her face dusted pink.
