Well.... I just looked at what Cheshireinthemiddle was doing with a marijuana post.... he is getting increasingly disturbing with his obsession with comparing marijuana laws to age of consent laws... multiple people told him to stop using age to consent laws in a discussion about fucking marijuana... and he gets made at them and saying that they are comparable!

I mean should we expect more from an anti-sj? That one in particular has a habit of arguing with strawman and other fallacies while projecting them onto others regardless of if they have them or not in their post.

And they’ll sticking to their argument cause the worst thing for them is to concede to a so called sjw even if they’re wrong.

I don’t know why anti-sj love to say “the world doesn’t revolve around you” to marginalized people. Of course the world the doesn’t revolve around us, we wouldn’t be subjected to marginalization, oppression and systemic discrimination if it did.

what's the difference between textbook egalitarianism and tumblr egalitarianism? it seems like the concept should favor social justice

Egalitarianism is essentially a belief or apart of a doctrine that all humans are equal and should be treated as equals. Egalitarians advocate for that idea and the removal of inequalities. It’s not a movement but apart of a philosophy of a movement, political party, religious group etc. It is a concept that favors social justice and is apart of many social justice movements

Tumblr egalitarianism are a bunch of anti-sjs (anti-feminists, anti-sjws, “real social justice, etc) that say they believe in egalitarianism for the sake of sounding moderate and “logical”. When asked why they are egalitarian many of them will cite the dictionary as their understanding and study of the philosophy starts and ends there. Their egalitarianism consists of false equivalences, erasure of historical context, ignoring and minimizing the problems marginalized groups face today, fallacies of relative privation (”there are bigger problems in the world”, and willful ignorance in general. Their idea of their egalitarian “movement” is to yell at individuals of marginalized groups for not being fair but telling us that’s the way the real world works when causes and effects of our marginalization and systemic discrimination are pointed out. Their main thing is to say they’re not a feminist, they’re an egalitarian as if feminism opposes egalitarianism on the basis of who the movement focuses on.
