Twila was kidnapped by the TVA, Time Variance Authority. They've been going around, kidnapping innocent ponies and putting them on trial.

Maybe it was a bad idea for me to stay down here alone, though. Then again I was alone in Equestria too.

We'll see where this all goes I guess.

So how goes the journey wagon company? Anything else out of the ordinary happening?

Dee looks up, but Thomas responds instead.

“No, I’m just finishing up the trick and-”

Thomas has the deck of card in his hands, he fans them out, letting Dee see that all the cards are different before suddenly smashing them between his hands suddenly, handing them to Dee to handle.

When Dee turns the cards over, they have all become the Ace of Spades. Dee looks legitimately surprised. 

“Wow, color me impressed...” 

Dee carefully inspects the cards, seeing that they are indeed all the same card.

“...though that wasn’t my card.”

Thomas’s face falls, and he looks devastated, as something must have gone wrong with his trick. He hunches over, eye going rapidly back and forth, mentally going back to figure out where he went wrong.

Dee, seeing this, places a gentle hand on his back. Thomas stiffens for a moment.

“Whoa! Whoa! Hey, I was joking! You got my card!”

Thomas quickly straightens himself back up at that. Thomas groans, face turning red. 

“You’re really hard to read, Dee! I’m gonna take you seriously unless you make it obvious you’re pulling my leg.”

Patton snorts.

“That’s what I said.”

Thomas busts out with a laugh, but stifles it as if it wasn’t intentional.

Dee rolls his eyes. 

Thomas looks over where Logan is and calls out: “What about you Logan?”

Logan doesn’t turn around, but the answer is immediate.

“Took the words figuratively out of my mouth.”

Dee gasps dramatically, clutching his chest.

“Heathens, the lot of you! Not appreciating the art of sarcasm!”

Thomas and Patton giggle and you see Logan roll his eyes despite the smile adorning his face.
