Favorite thing about one another?

Neil: I’ve always admired Todd’s gentleness. He’s able to soothe me, and all of our friends, and calm us, with just a few words, or with just a gentle touch, and it’s something that I’m so grateful for. 

Todd: Neil’s confidence. He’s always so sure of not only himself, but also the Dead Poets, and especially me. It oozes out of him.

I can't pick so I'll ask you two, what color of ligs should I get at the ortho tomorrow? Also did either of you have braces?

Neither of us had braces, but Steven did! He just got his taken off in December! Also, my go-to color is always purple (for Hawkeye).

What do your parents think about your relationship??

Neil: My parents are pretty amazing. They love Todd a lot - when I broached the idea of him coming to visit for part of the summer, they were ecstatic. And that’s why he’s here now. They welcomed him with open arms. 

Todd: As welcoming as Neil’s family is, mine is having a little bit harder of a time coming to terms with my sexuality. My older brother doesn’t like it at all. He thinks this is all some sort of game, or something I’ll outgrow. My mom is heartbroken at the idea that she won’t have grandchildren (?). My dad, on the other hand, is being alright. He calls me every other day or so to check up on me and to talk.

How did you come out?

Accidentally. My parents were more understanding than I ever imagined they would be, and while all my mental madness was going on, my coming out was one thing I didn’t have to worry about. They accepted mine and Todd’s relationship almost immediately - they adore Todd (especially my mother).

We have absolutely no control over Charlie or his fashion choices. He loves his beret.
