For basketball, I believe I started supporting teams when I was around 7, I was living in the west coast at the time. Dad was a lakers fan and mama was about that Cavs life LMFAOO but ya girl repping Celtics now!
For football it was way later, I was watching around the same time I was watching basketball but I didn’t start liking teams until maybe I was 10! It’s been the same two teams then and it’s the same now, Liverpool and Arsenal. National teams were a year later and I would base which team I liked back then based on how well they worked together as a team, now you can catch me watching Mexico, England, Holland, Egypt and Senegal 🤟🏽

Basically it began when the Celtics were struggling really bad in the playoffs and then it spiraled out of control when the USA was knocked out of the FIBA World Cup; he said after the World Cup he completely lost his confidence, started overthinking and even began to experience anxiety. It wasn’t until after he returned from China that he decided to cut his hair, for him his hair was what all that represented in his supposed rise to stardom, but in his mind after last year? It didn’t make sense. So he cut it. He felt that by cutting it he was cutting away the negative thoughts and anxiety, so now with a literal clean slate on his head, he has a clear mind. I just saw a twitter post and it had the video of what appears to be the team players singing the chant and I wanted to throw up. But the comments were even worse, it was a bunch of fragile white men from both city AND Everton (Everton... can you believe that...lmao how sad to hop onto a hate bandwagon) in the comments literally attack Liverpool fans that were upset as a way to justify their team singing a chant about people getting assaulted. The audacity. Literally all of them were denying it was about Sean Cox and were going on and on saying “it’s not about Sean Cox it’s about what happened in Kiev” like are you sure about that? Do you know what happened to Sean Cox? Do you even know who he is? Or is the hate towards anyone that happens to support Liverpool so high that when your team makes a chant about anyone getting assaulted and then throwing the name Liverpool into the mix suddenly justifies it?
You know it’s one thing to chant about our loss in the league, but chanting about folks getting assaulted....and the fact that this was the team itself, not some madmen “fans”....disappointing. Just disappointing. You have folks being called “scouser scum”, there was and continues to be islamophobic and racist abuse thrown at Mohamed Salah, there was a young Liverpool player assaulted last year because of his race.
And it doesn’t even stop at Liverpool. You have Pogba from Manchester United who has dealt with racist and Islamphobic abuse, Raheem Sterling has been the subject of racism for YEARS. Same with Danny Rose of Tottenham. To everyone on this site and beyond... just say you hate Muslims, black people, Scousers and go. Trying to hide your hatred towards groups of people under the disguise of “oh it’s because they play for this or that club” or “they don’t have skills” is outdated and just downright stupid.
