For the trope game: Steddie, Established relationship, jealousy, insecurity

Idk if you wanted wg Steddie but that's my brand so that's what's happening. 😇

Steddie have been together for a while, but so far they're only out to their friends who are off at college. Steve has put on a little relationship weight, which doesn't bother him at first... but every week he goes to Corroded Coffin's gigs and watches his boyfriend bounce around the stage like an energetic headbanging twizzler.

He sees other people (girls and guys) take an interest his boyfriend and gets in his head about it, going a little overboard on beer to keep a more easygoing veneer over his sour moods—because if there's one thing he's learned from his parents' relationship it's that calling attention to the jealousy will only make things worse. The liquid calories only add to his waistline and his insecurities, and between the extra weight and a growing worry that it's only a matter of time before Eddie can do better than a guy who peaked in high school and got fat, it's getting harder to drag himself out of bed for his morning jog.

Meanwhile, Eddie thinks the extra weight looks good on his boyfriend, but he doesn't know how to bring up that the ex-jock look is doing it for him without, like. Accidentally insulting Steve somehow. He barely registers even a fraction of the would-be groupies who keep trying to hit on him. When he does he gently redirects him to his straight bandmates as needed, though maybe it does always put him in a good mood when it happens, because yeah he still only has eyes for Steve, but any interest is still a compliment.

Eddie just wishes he knew why Steve has started to seem more and more depressed lately... He's not planning on breaking up with him, right?!

Hey Amethyst! I’m not big into gossip but I’ll do my best.

I was at Little Homeworld the other day to see Bismuth and get some maintenance done on my sword. Well I got to the forge and I saw her and Pearl in there, by themselves. I couldn’t hear what they were saying but I think they were flirting!
