Alright, you talked about Dimitri so much when that person asked you about your thoughts on Edelgard so I have to ask: how do you feel about him?

I was merely using the princeling for comparison, but, if you must know, we get along alright. He doesn't like my schemes very much though, as he obsessed with fighting fair. In my opinion, it's quite a naive belief, but to each their own.

About the Drugha, Dimitri’s Clan-

Drugha (droo-gah): A race of demons of which little is known.  They are considered one of the oldest and most powerful of all the demon clans. They inhabit the areas around Russia. However, like many of the humans there, they relocated to America to avoid the country’s political strife during the 1970s and 80s.  The Drugha possess the Hand of Drugha, a gift which allows them to kill nearly everything they touch.  The gift is often hard to control and also leaves the owner on a death high when being used.  The Drugha who uses the gift multiple times will often become frenzied and kill anything it sees until the high has passed.  

D’bahativash (dah-bah-hah-tee-vash): A tradition of the Drugha clan when the young male or female demon that has come of age goes out into the world to see what other demonic cultures are like.  This is an opportunity for them to grow and learn about the world around them.

Miefgho drasalgha (mee-ayf-go drah- sahl-gah): A Drughan word for the dream state connection between two souls.  It is rare but is documented in their myths.  During this enhanced dream state, the souls are able to observe things about the other person’s location, emotions, and some physical sensations.

Niethaflagdha (nee-ay-thah-flahg-dah): A Drughan word for limbo or the space between life and death.  Often referred to as no man’s land because souls cannot see each other when in this realm and it as place of nothingness and silence.  Souls are not supposed to stay here but cross over unto the next land.

Ra’ahkanan (rah-ah-kah-nahn): The start day of the Great War.  A myth told by the Drugha stating that the time will come when the long dead Ancient Drugha Lord will return through someone else’s form to wage war against a great evil.  The exact time is unknown as well as the source and identity of the evil.

what’s something no one knows about dimitri?

Oooh that’s good well I don’t want to get into spoiler territory but I’ll say that no one knows that he feels especially guilty about loosing his family because he was taken when he was exploring the outside world and was meant to return with new information but secretly, he planned on never going back. And now he can’t because they’re dead.

OC Takeover! 1. Has Dimitri ever had any recurring dreams? 2. Is he good with kids? 3. What is his ultimate kind of comfort food?

1. In Burn the Bone Dimitri is plagued by weird dreams that seem to be connected to Red and some which are especially metaphorical.  The miefgho drasalgha connects him to her and he figures this out as the story progresses. 2. He’s never really been around them as an adult thanks to the Inferno. When he has moments with Ciona he is just so scared he’s gonna break her. But he doesn’t hate them or anything. He’s just very inexperienced. 3. Well, unfortunately when the book starts his comfort “food” is alcohol. He is a complete mess. The alcohol is definitely used as a coping mechanism to deal with internal guilt and frustration over his gift.

What were Dimitri's hopes for the future before he gained his abilities?

Oh that’s hard and I’m going to make people sad again. So when he was a kid he really wanted to go out and explore the world. To see new things, to get away from tradition. He was to make his mark and had absolutely no clue how. He was raised to be a Drugha to train to control his gifts with the others and maybe one day eventually help to lead the clan on their counsel, he had tutor’s come in to educate him and it all felt very stuffy. So, he wanted to rebel to break free and that’s exactly what he was going to do until Marcus/Dante scooped him up and made him fight in the Inferno. It’s why he still wants to go out and party because he never really got the chance to before.

I am quite alright, thank you for asking. Things in Faerghus have been rather calm, peaceful even. Plus…

As childish as it may sound, me and Byleth shared our favorite meal— onion gratin soup. It smelled delightful, and getting to eat with her always cheers my mood.

Dimitri, how did you get that ring that you gave to your beloved?

you mean this one?

I’m glad you asked.

The emerald in the center was once in my mother’s wedding ring, however, when she died my father had the stone taken out. He stored it for me, so that I could have it made into a ring for my future bride. When I decided I would wed Byleth, I brought the emerald to a jeweler and had a custom ring made for her. I think my mother and father would be happy with what became of it.
