3 | What kind of magic would effectively neutralize that of your character?

“Well, I work with air, so going off of that, probably earth magic. Because Finch works with ‘green’ or ‘earth’ magic, and I work with air, we try not to piss each other off.

When we do get into bickering matches, we don’t use our magic. I just remove my hearing aids and get smacked.”

“-Finch here! My brother is a complete [REDACTED]. Trust me, if you had to deal with him, you’d agree with me. Don’t lis-”

11 | What is their relationship with magic like? Is it something they feel blessed to have or is it more of a burden/curse to them?

“To be completely honest, I don’t really use magic.

To me, it just feels like another emotion. It is useful, especially with Camio. I do enjoy using it, actually. I find it more of a blessing, but still neutral about it.”

Finch

1 | Magic always comes at a cost… what price does your character have to pay in order to practice it? What kind of trade-offs are involved?

"Well, obviously my energy.

When using too much green magic, the plants I’m working with will start to shield themselves from me, as if saying, “Regain your energy.”

With kitchen magic, I just lose more energy than normal, and am a bit more slow for an hour or so, after.

With storytelling, it isn’t a lot of magic that you’re expending, but when I’ve been doing it for more than two hours, the illustrations start to fade and lose their colour.”

14 | What kind of ethics are associated with your character’s practice of their magic? What kind of in-universe laws do you think might exist that pertain to it?

“With my green magic, I can not speed up the growth of a plant, or heal any dangerous/poisonous plants. It’s just really something immoral about it.

With the kitchen magic, I can not “accidentally” slip something into the food. My magic will go on its own and reverse it.”

there’s a reason that callum and finch aren’t always together 24/7

doesnt help that callum is a little shit either
