My asks/messages are open should anyone want to drop me any. I was thinking about taking requests for poems of drabbles, ya know, as a fun writing exercise (response times may vary, but I will try to be as punctual as possible).
I am also tag game friendly, but again, response times may vary lol
It looks like you do a variety of writing, but often enjoy poetry (at least from what I see posted recently). When it comes to poetry, what inspires you? Are they heat of the moment ideas of instant passion, or meticulous recipes you spend ages perfecting? Feel free to just elaborate on whatever tickles your fancy!
Oh the poems, and most everything else I've recently written for this blog, are definitely spur of the moment creations (with the occasional snippit from WIPs, short stories, or notes from my worlds). I'm usually pretty busy irl, so short form, spur-of-the-moment poems keep me writing/posting while I'm working on other things. Plus, they give me an outlet and let me speak more...ethereally, I guess? Which is pretty rad because that's hella comfortable for me 😂 The meticulous planning is reserved exclusively for my scifi/fantasy worldbuilding projects.
As for inspiration, it's a pretty zany cocktail. A good part of it comes from mental health struggles, and my background/research into world religions/spiritual traditions. Some from my everyday life, and real world experiences. And some more from my otherworldy/spiritual/cosmic experiences that I still reflect on. It usually comes in random strikes of lightening, so poems usually have a better chance of catching the bolt 😁
Thanks so much for the ask, @kanobarlowe!
P.s. I was digging the work you've posted! Can't wait to check out more of it!
