Would you have more of this "hypothetical au" where they both met when they were teenagers?

I'm curious to know how these two would interact.Would Aaravos be any different, like would he be more emocional and stuff? Would Callum manage to connect even better with his "master" Since they would be two boys of the same age?

I'm also so glad I answered this privately beforehand because this is one of the harder asks to compile a coherent answer for 😂🙏 Short answer: Yes, I do have enough content and ideas to fuel an entire spin-off franchise. However-

The world will never be ready for them. (even if they are, I am not. I'll never be ready for Aaravos's only feet era- I mean slick back hair controvercial 3000 year-old teenage startouchelf era)

Long answer:

Ok, so believe it or not, back in 2022 I had a MASSIVE brainrot about this; I actually had the general plot laid out-- (note that a lot of things have to go differently for the AU to happen) But I can't spoil too much because detailing the plot of this AU will inevitably spoil how I would rewrite the original story.

There is, however, an elephant in the room that I must address

and that is how I personally write startouch elves' aging.

I think part of the hook of Aaravos is how mysterious everything about him and his species is, so trying to explain or make sense of it partly ruin what's so appealing about him. I will say this: Since the way I write him and his species are based on actual physics and cosmological study of real stars, I made this little chart to illustrate how obscure it is to even think about the concept of a teenage startouch elf, just...just to make my life easier:

Based on this, when you ask would their interaction be any different? Yes and no? I think the key takeaway here is probably how differently they are allowed to interact with mortal species?? And idk if you noticed but according to this wacky chart Aaravos is probably still considered an INFANT in the eyes of the universe...

I guess a simple answer would just be because Aaravos looked younger (despite it's impossible for finite species like us to distinguish between a 3000-year-old man and a 5000-year-old man) I think the only difference is that he gets to act a certain way when he looked like a teenager that his fully adult counterpart cannot towards other mortal species???

Amongst other things -- but I think everyone can probably guess what their relationship is like in this AU

There are definitely more complicated and thoughtful plot points that I'm not flat out saying because time and sanity and with enough protest from you guys maybe I will release a first chapter no promises but I will present you with the very first thing that Callum ever said to Aaravos in the teenage AU:

If you could give a stranger one bit of life advice, what would it be?

there is one concept that i read once, I think on tumblr, that's stuck with me forever. it was quite long and beautifully worded, but to paraphrase:

live your life as if you died already and begged any kind of higher power you believe in to let you go back one more time. because life isn't just the highlight reel. life is going grocery shopping every week and forgetting that one thing on your list. life is thinking about what to eat for dinner every day. life is crying so hard on the bathroom floor and not knowing what to do because you are alive and you have options. life is meeting someone you click with immediately in a bar's public restroom and fixing each other's hair. life is messy and ugly and colorful and designed to be so fucking full. yes, it hurts sometimes. yes, people are shitty sometimes. but you will die anyway, in the end, so why not hurt and hate and love and cry while you still have the chance?
