So I’m getting back into animal crossing but I’ve never really gotten as far as to make paths or use at codes at all. But I’ve recently done both of those, and now I’m looking to create my own designs. Do you have any tips or websites that could help me out as a beginner to making anything? This goes for flags, dresses, wallpaper, flooring, paths, etc. Thank you! Your town and designs are so beautiful!
hey thank you! there aren’t really any specific websites i would recommend, but there are lots of great qr design tutorials and templates on google/pinterest that really helped me learn some basics. i have several secret pinterest boards that i use to hoard tutorials for fabric textures/ wood grains/ lettering/ season colors etc. when i started my ghibli designs i was able to use a reference from the movie for whatever i was trying to recreate. along with following tutorials, using a reference and drawing what you see is a great way to learn.
i think the biggest help for designing qrs, for me, was happy home designer. hhd gives you the space to make lots of designs and when you’ve unlocked the customizable items, you’re able to test things out fairly quickly. that said, it’s not necessary if you don’t have it. eventually with practice you’ll get an understanding of what colors to use to blend and add shadow/highlight, depth, perspective, texture and so on. i haven’t been able to make a town flag so i can’t really offer advice there lol if you have any more questions or want me to elaborate on something specific, feel free to send me more messages!
