Headcanon, fabric

  Yi has a certain attraction to good quality fabrics. I say it not in jest, or even to paint him as an individual who is particularly sexual or sexually deviant. It’s merely one of the byproducts of being as masterful at Wuju as he is. His sense of touch is greatly magnified, and as such the sensation of certain fabrics alone has a subtle gratification to him. Whether a physical gratification or more emotional it depends on the type of fabric.

  That’s not to say he isn’t aware of this. Another reason why Yi will barely let an inch of skin be without covering is to prevent odd flights of fancy when it comes to texture. He is very used to the feel of his robes, so it’s not like he’s stimulated by contact to fabric alone. He would, however, roll on a good quality rug for hours if he wasn’t a grown man, probably chuckling to his ticklish self. Don’t tell anyone you saw him though pfft

  Silk holds a special place within his heart. Silk is the material of Wuju Master robes, and the feel of it brings him back good memories. Again its not like he’s triggered into memories just by wearing his robes, but to make a vested effort to take in the texture of the regalia takes him back to times when he and his Master would spar and train. To the days when his father whipped around him in serious combat, and to the years upon years spend in catching up to his speed. Of course sadness can sometimes come with these thoughts, but Yi tries to remain positive.

  In general however he has little to no appreciation for how a fabric looks. Rather he is, as you would imagine, all about how it feels. A scarf could have the ugliest pattern on it, but so long as the texture made him feel warm and safe he might wear it anyway. Truly Yi’s fashion sense is one of the best on Runeterra.

And I’m so incredibly honored to hear that!

I absolutely fell in love with Kled when he was announced-- but my love for him has grown tenfold when I started writing him. I can see why people would not like him! he’s not for everyone, but knowing that my portrayal helped someone sway their opinions of him (or they gave him a try), honestly makes me so happy.
