For the ask-game: 4,5,6 :)
Ayyy! Thanks for the ask! Toss me an ask from the ask game and I'll try my best to answer them!
4: Which fic/series (that is completed) took you the longest to write? Why did it take so long?
For fic wise, Helpless. It's 45 chapters long and 293 pages long and a total of 150,359 words. Some of it was because of writer's block, lacking motivation or inspiration, or there times where I didn't want to write but I still did it anyways and because life would get in the way.
Series wise, The Helpless Trilogy. I have never made a trilogy before and I usually try to stick to the plot/summary of the fics so that's also part of the reason it takes me so long.
5: Who are your 3 tumblr writing idols? What do you appreciate about their writing?
Can one of them not be tumblr? If so, Stephen KIng. I read a lot of his books (Yes, I even read IT). They're just so descriptive and his descriptive writing and word choice and style help increase mine and inspires mine and improves my vocabulary.
Tumblr wise, @peblezq The word choices and the language. Whenever I write historical oneshots for request, I always have a struggle at how the people in the 18th century would speak. So, just re-reading Suite Madame Blue mutiple times helps me with it. @quillsink like how do you write super long chapters? They’re way longer than mine! (I’m just now starting We Are Everywhere, And We Are Not a Sin cause I feel kind of left out not having to read it yet)
6: What’s your favorite method to get past writer’s block?
EXCERSIE! EXERCSIE! EXCERSIE! Excersie has so many benefits than just weight loss. It releases something called endorphins which are the chemicals in your brain that help release stress and pain and basically make you happy. Excerise can fun, it can make you feel stronger and more confident in yourself. It can help not only physically, but also mentally. It releases stress and anger in a healthy way and can give you inspriation for more ideas and boosts your energy level and increases your productivity and just overall makes you feel powerful and good about yourself. That’s my absolute favorite way to break writer’s block. It doesn’t have to be weight lifting (which is what I do). It can be as simple as going for a short brisk walk, or on a simple bike ride, or a 30 minute dance break.
