So to explain, Link (and turn, the colours), are pretty. Like I imagine it's just like a fact. They're all really attractive (some of them know it more than others lol), and people of course notice. I mean, they all have the face card if you know what I mean, but that's to no one surprise i'm sure.
The people of hyrule obviously can see that too, it is actually pretty common for them all to get love letters, or for people to come up to them. Granted it depends on which one of the boys, and by this I mean because a few of them are so intimidating that people aren't as brave to go up directly to them haha. But yes, it's just a fact in hyrule, I imagine it's like secretly one of the town's biggest tourist attractions in a way lol. Like "come to castle town, home of the heroes of hyrule, bring glasses you will be blinded by their beauty!" Idk why, I just think that would be funny. Granted, on another hand, people do still respect their boundaries and such, so they don't get many people who are too aggressive about coming onto them, and the few that do are usually out-of towners who've heard of them. It's dealt with pretty swiftly (brutally too if it happens to be Vio or Blue that they do this too).
Now onto Shadow.... man was a link too, so ofc he's pretty. But he's like hella pretty. He's not a hylian, he's quite literally made of magic and is a living shadow. People are still a bit intimidated to come up to him, partly because of his role in helping the darkness, but also he is kind of surprisingly shy? He's usually not one to just stroll about in town by himself, he's either with someone or he just teleports or transforms into a small animal or something and travels through town that way, so people aren't really given much opportunity to come up to him really.
I imagine he kind of gives off some uncanny valley vibes, not like super creepy or anything, but maybe unintentionally like a lure. Like his skin is so smooth, almost like marble, and though he is strong he looks almost delicate? It's pretty deceiving lol. I've read a lot of people's hcs on hylians being intuned with magic in the way that they have a great ability to handle or use magic items but not really being able to produce it without outside influence, so I think the fact that he can do so is attractive. But also, he is made of magic, and I believe on some level people can kind of sense that, so they can be unintentionally (on his part), be drawn to him due to him being a strong magical source. Kind of like moths to flames, or bees to honey.
On another hand, some of those unnatural features, could be creepy I suppose (not everyone is like Vio, lol). Like he can be so still when he wants to be, you'd think he was a statue. His eyes (whoops, I mean eye) is reflective like a cat, which can be trippy especially since it's only the one haha, but at least he can see in the dark. Also not to mention his other obvious physical differences that people may perceive as unnatural, like the skin tone/his general colour palette, the cracked scars, floating, the no legs thing, etc. But I like to think that hylians, they've seen some shit, maybe not on the same degree as the heroes of hyrule, but enough to be generally accepting of anyone who looks out of the norm, hyrule is home to so many different races It'd be kind of weird if they didn't.
