I currently started getting interested about the french revolution and basically most things about it, I specifically am interested in Saint-Just but I don't really know how to start researching or well trying to know much due to some different variations of historical studies given out.
I’m.. truly flattered that you would come to me. Well, a great place to start in my humble opinion is just developing an interest in the first place! Yes, research can be a bit of a doozy when starting out but I’d say try to get every source that you can to develop an opinion. Just like dealing with current events, it’s important to get every side of the story. Even try to read letters and essays and such if you can get your hands on them, which I’m sure there are some out there if you know where to look.
Saint Just is a bit of an interesting historical character and it can be a bit difficult to find what one would deem “accurate” sources about him I suppose, but we’re lucky enough to have some things discussing him written by people who knew him, and various other sources. He is one of my favorite figures from the French Revolution to study, I will say that. I know that I personally am always interested in who these figures were as people and I would say that these pieces of writing are a great show of his character. But I digress.
However, I’m afraid I’m not the best at explaining things, if you will, and I’d like to turn this over to some other very knowledgeable and amazing people here, ( @frevandrest @edgysaintjust ) who might be able to elaborate more and give you better information, as well as everyone else who might wish to add. No pressure of course.
I’m truly very flattered, again, that you would ask me.. truly, I hope we can all help you get started <3
All of my best wishes, and good luck to you my friend,
