How would Min and Mr. Dwicky be with each other? Since he was a school counselor and has experience with troubled kids and possibly a degree in psychology (I could be wrong since this is IZ we are talking about) can Min still manipulate him or can he see right through her facade?

(Also I absolutely adore how you draw facial expressions they r so freaking good)

Thank you so much! Honestly, I think Dwinky met Min before he worked at the school as a guidance counselor. But I think that while he was well meaning, he was missing some serious red flags when it came to the place she was put in. And set things in motion that he never wanted to happen.

But… after he went to space?

Considering how he left Dib in a moment where he needed support the most. I easily can see him doing the same with Min.

And that would be her last straw when it came to her hope for humanity.

What's the origin of Min like how she met the Irkens and tallests?

Hey there! So the basic summary of that is basically. Min was brought as a present for the tallest during their ongoing conquest across the galaxy. Of course, knowing the tallest. It didn’t really go as planned since they didn’t care about if the present was good or not. They were going to blow up the planet anyway. And Min convinced the tallest of her worth as a baker.

Can you give a tutorial/tips on how you draw facial expressions please? Everyone always looks so unhinged in your art and I love it!

Sure! I don’t mind giving a few pointers, It’s super sweet of you to ask.

Basically, my number one rule of an expression is that the eyes are the most important part of the face. I feel like if you took everything else out, the eyes could still tell you everything you need to know about how someone is feeling. Kinda like Gromit from Wallace and Gromit. And I always felt that comics are incredible in the fact you only need to draw someone’s face without any dialogue and you would still understand what’s happening.

Here’s a few examples with my girlie Min:

Starting off, the only thing different about these faces are the eyes and the lips. Everything else is the same but comes off completely different. Min’s eyes in the first image are smaller, lidded and her lip is more of a smirk than a smile. Which makes her look more menacing and scheming. Meanwhile, the second image her eyes are bigger, her smile is softer and her eyes are wide open. This gives her an innocent and peaceful feeling. And that’s only just from drawing different eyes and lips. And shows how important these things are.

For more exaggerated expressions, you gotta mold the face and add a bunch of lines to make the expression more intense. And again, changing the shape of the eyes also adds to it.

I also recommend finding references you like for future use. For me, I like to take expressions from manga and comics specifically because I feel like animation sometimes doesn’t get the image right when it’s still. Unlike manga that uses lighting and detail to show off just how intense the reaction is. Which is really important when you’re drawing a comic vs doing an animation. So do what I do and look at comics, manga and even just look up on google some expressions you feel hit the sweet spot yours looking for.

All in all, I would say practice and not being afraid to make your characters ugly is the next important thing. It sometimes becomes tempting to keep your characters pretty, and I had that issue a lot and still do. So don’t be afraid to get weird with expressions. Hell, make your hottest character hideous for comedy sake. It helps to loosen you up to better expressions later on. For me, I typically use min and miyuki for study and practice. Since I feel they are the perfect characters for that.

Does Min enjoy killing, hurting, and/or manipulating people? Or is it just something she does because in her mind that’s the only way to survive due to her childhood and due to her current situation? And does she just pretend to like it so she doesn’t appear as weak?

You have also claimed that she rules the empire with red and purple when she get’s older, which involves doing horrible things to countless (mostly innocent) species. (If that’s just an au and not canon to the actual comic than please ignore this paragraph.)

So Min being a bad person aside, does she like it or not?

Oh, she likes it. But I think it’s more complicated than that. She enjoys punishing the irkens for the situation that she’s in. She’s quite literally in the worst situation possible and used as a servant.

I would say she’s less trying to appear strong in front of them and more like the power is going to her head a bit because she thinks she’s totally safe due to Tallest Red having her back. This entire time she’s had to suck up her pain and resentment when they bully her. And now she can put them into a ship where she can blow them up. She uses it to cope with her trauma and bite back against the irkens. That, and Min’s first response to trauma and anger is to lash out. Especially when her mental state is severely unstable.

And yes, she does help them in their work. But I would say things change alot by that time. Mostly that their invasions became more… diplomatic? Rather than subjugating them. They start more trade relations because of Min’s input. Because 1. The planets lose their ability to progress and create better technology and resources that the irkens want. Irkens aren’t ones for progress. They’re more likely to just steal, so it’s a disadvantage. And two, it’s better to have semi-uneasy relations with other species than gain a million different species that WILL rebel against them.

Of course, it takes a bit of time to figure out what to do about the damage they already did. But thankfully irkens (and later min for spoiler reasons) have plenty of time to figure it out with the time they have. (It helps Min is human and can vouch for some genuine change.)

Headcanons for min and the tallests please🥺.

YAY! I’ll focus on Min and Purple since I don’t get to touch on their dynamic much.

Min and Purple literally hate eachother, at least at this point in time. They are constantly at odd’s . Especially with Min’s increased influence within the massive thanks to her position as the pilot for the Nootis 9000 and the fact Tallest Red will back her up. So they honestly are like cats and dogs when they get into it.

Though, surprisingly enough. They can get along really easily when they put their issues with each other aside. They actually end up becoming each others go to person when it comes to a dance or game partner. Mainly BECAUSE of the fact they don’t hold back on eachother. Red tends to get tired and burnt out easily while Bob is far too cautious at times. So they eventually turn to eachother for a challenge.

So for the most part, they are pretty much like siblings. With a mix of that Bowser dynamic- where he’s enemies with Mario in the main games but always shows up for a friendly game of Mario Kart.

Still, Bob and Tallest Red can get pretty exasperated with them.

How are tallest miyuki and spork even like in this AU?

I would say they were… at odds at best. At worst? Miyuki was Sporks biggest nightmare.

Miyuki never gave Spork any REAL power, nothing that would effect the empire anyway. That wasn’t until she died and he was the only tallest that he actually got to BE a tallest.

Too bad it only lasted like 3 days.

Doesn’t Purple do Min’s hair?

Yes actually!

Purple doing Min’s hair is one of their bonding moments the two genuinely enjoy. So even when they start to become openly hostile with eachother, they still put their issues aside to continue it. Sure, Purple attempts to yank at her hair, but he usually cuts it out after a moment when he gets into it.

I like to think doing Min’s hair is a comforting thing for the both of them. Purple gets something to concentrate on like a stem toy and Min gets to enjoy the feeling of getting her hair done.

It also helps that Purple is genuinely good at doing hair too.
