I have a question... How do you think the 3S + Boss's voices sound like? I remember that in the early days, Voltage used to do this thing with their trendy games like KBTBB & IM (back then) where they had seiyuus voice the characters on a 2-3 minute video or something like that. I loved that! But I don't think they have done it with MK or their newest games. So I wanted to ask the Queen of MK herself lolol.

Voltage made multiple voiced stories back then, even for HLITF which was awesome! They also have voiced stories for Tsugaru and Ayumu and maybe more on their Otkoi (otona/MORE stories) JP website.
I wish they did it for MK and more titles as well, but maybe it's not possible for now. So indeed, MK doesn't have voiced stories 🥲
I know that in a special Voltage program, there were seiyuus that played a game where they had to say a line in the character's voice and it could last a whole hour. I had searched a lot for it and had found a video where Kazuomi and Kei were voiced by two seiyuus.
I don't think they were meant to be their "official" seiyuus, but it was nice. That's the closest we got to them being voiced.
It'd be hard to describe what I'd have in mind for their voices. Before I used to search for seiyuus that could match the 4 of them, but it's hard because finding the perfect voice is tricky. In my opinion, their voices should be deep without being "too much".
Seiichi's voice should have a subtle sensuality to it and deeper than the rest. He'd probably speak slowly and in a low tone when talking to the MC, as a way to woo her and also manipulate at first. But when they become a couple, it'd also be his way of being intimate, and living in secrecy.
Kazuomi's should also have sensuality, as well as a playful side. He'd probably be the trickiest to cast because his energy and classy attitude is hard to embody. He has a special charm you wouldn't want to ruin with a bad voice?
If we're trying to be canon, Kei should have a cute English accent, but it's easy to fall into caricature when you imitate accents, so I'd say the easiest option would be to just speak normally. Kei's voice should be sophisticated and slightly less deeper than the rest to go with his angelic appearance imo. He would probably speak less quickly so his words resonate more when he's trying to be manipulative too at first or when he's acting as a priest.
Yuzu would probably have the deeper voice out of the 3S's? And the most monotonous one. Not like he would speak like a robot, but in a similar fashion. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, it's to bring something relevant and interesting. He has his rougher, annoyed side so probably a sort of "grumpy" tone, if that makes sense. And he would speak more softly to the MC?
Yeah, it's a bit hard to describe what I have in mind but that'd be the general idea.
What's your favorite story from Masquerade Kiss? I read your older asks you enjoyed Season 3 (cmiiw) but any top preference? I like majority of Masq stories but Season 1 especially His POV holds a special place in my heart. 🫂
Also, do you agree it is true that these days general readers don't read Masq anymore?
Had a conversation with someone else and her main opinion was that Masq storyline gets intense and deep, if you don't follow closely, it is unlikely one would continue reading. There are still general readers but not as many as it used to be. She says most readers for Masq now are those who truly enjoy and followed Masq for a longtime, and good thing is Masq have devoted readers. Do you think that's true or do you think there are other factors involved?

My favorite MK stories
That's a hard question because I've genuinely enjoyed everything I've read. S3 was the best for me emotionally because it was very epic and intense. And future seasons got even more intense, so I'd say S4 for Yuzu and Kei and S5 for Kazuomi were the best.
In general, I like any of the stories or scenes where there's jealousy involved or an impactful fight/scene. For Kei, I'd say Louis' entrance was pretty incredible!! But that's just the first example that popped into my head. His whole route is awesome and typically what I like. It's a slow-acting poison 🤭
Kazuomi's father's entrance was also pretty amazing too in how it was executed! I only wish we saw his sprite. Maybe, maybe we'll get it in the future, who knows. Kazuomi has so many moments I've loved from the very beginning.
He was my first poison that got me into MK so hard haha, it's actually hard to remember exact moments. I just love everything with Kazuomi in general. His PoVs are especially nice because of how much he adores the MC, sometimes secretly despite being straightforward in general.
For Yuzu, the moment where he "deleted" Victoria was very emotional so that's still part of my top favorite moments, aside many others! I like any and every scene of Yuzu reflecting on himself and showing he's a real genius but an actual human beyond that.
I totally agree with you that every S1 and PoV were definitely great, and they're impactful enough to make people love MK in the first place. I loved rereading them over and over again!
There are plenty of scenes I love of all of them. These 4 men, I hold them close and keep them in my heart, always ❤️ My favorite scenes generally end up being posted through ss because I can't possibly name them all 🥹
At this point, every important story can be considered a favorite of mine 😂
Do people not read MK anymore?
As for that question, I have to partially agree with the person who told you MK is usually a title long-term players read.
That's only a general statement though, and I know people who picked it up recently and love it. The fact is, the storyline was always intense to begin with, but it only gets deeper as it goes on. That's true for all characters' routes, but it especially is for Kei, whose route dives into darker or taboo topics, and some gore.
Lately, I wouldn't say MK is less read by players because of this, but because of the lack of updates to begin with which targets all titles and L365's activity, not just MK. If anything, MK is part of the well-cared-for titles compared to others. It sells well so, while I understand it can be hard to follow and read until the end for some people, the fact is MK is still part of L365's best sellers. That's how it looks like, at least.
I think another variable is that people who played MK in its early seasons also played other titles and enjoyed L365 in general, but left over time because of life obligations or loss of interest in the app overall. That's why the fandom is less active now, when it used to be very alive before. It's not a MK-thing, in my humble opinion.
But yes, it's true MK has many things you either forget about if you don't have a perfect memory. For some reason, the formatting of the stories is also organized in a confusing way. Some special stories before used to be alternate scenarios or just additional content.
Now, for MK at least, Special stories are linked to the MS and I would argue that while you have no obligation to read them, you will miss a good chunk of info and therefore will be confused in the MS at times. And if you do decide to read the special stories, the order of reading is not specified, so you're left in doubt as a new player and might read in the wrong order.
I will say it: Voltage does not make MK friendly to read for first-time players at all. They should have organized the order of stories better, or should have implemented the special stories into the main stories right from the start.
Another problem with all LC titles is how pricey they became. It was always slightly more expensive before, but if you were like me and only poured money into one title you loved, it wasn't that bad. Now, it's definitely an investment that can be tough for some people. The only reassuring thing with MK, in my opinion, is that its quality is worth the effort and money compared to some other LC titles. It's still too expensive, but that's why people should take advantage of sales as much as possible.
So to sum it up, I would say general readers are lacking globally now, and not just for MK. And when people do go back to L365 after some time, it can be tough to know where to start again with MK for sure. That's why I try to facilitate that as much as possible with my blog.

Not the most romantic topic for our favorite man whore 🤣 but I know where the worry lies. I'll give my own take since I sadly cannot give an official reply to how characterization across routes are handled.
Did Kazuomi encourage Kei to sleep with other women?
Short answer is: Yes, he suggested it.
Now, to bring some context and nuances, Kei is someone who struggled with intimacy all his life due to his past of abuse. He had developed a reaction of disgust from physical touches.
His case is quite extreme, so it's fair to understand that a person who went through what Kei went through in his life is difficult and that he needs more time to get used to physical touch.
Kei was only ever able to want and appreciate the MC's warmth and scent, and occasionally didn't mind removing his clothes while they were intimate. It was not brought up in details, but I like to assume that MC might also be Kei's actual "first woman" (if you get what I mean).
It's known that he did have sexual partners prior to meeting her, but it's unknown how far these relationships went. Considering his disgust, I'd say he probably couldn't touch them with his bare hands, so who knows what they did aside from just being tied up.
Now that this is said, the question is, why did Kazuomi (at a point where Kei and MC had just broken up) suggest to Kei to sleep with other women?
There's a scene where Kei and Kazuomi hang out with women at a party. Nothing happens at all with the women, but they were having fun talking and drinking, and Kei was kind of looking for a woman who could give him info as well (since he's a diplomat and also a spy now).

Ultimately, I'm 100% sure Kazuomi meant no harm both to MC herself or her relationship with Kei. Kazuomi not only thinks of MC as a "friend" like you said (although none of them would exactly call each other a friend), but also as a woman he is interested in but decided not to pursue.
I could make the joke Kazuomi tried to push Kei into other women's arms just to have the MC for himself because, yeah, that's Kazuomi alright lol 🤣
However, Kazuomi said himself at this moment that he's interested in her, but that she's not his type (because she's so into Kei, not because she's not his ideal woman. Technically, she is).
In Kei's route, he acknowledges that Kei and MC have a deep relationship that can't be torn apart, even after breaking up.
Kazuomi is aware that MC is Kei's salvation. And he's also happy that his friend got to evolve with her. He knows that they'll always be tied in some way to each other.
My simple and honest take is that Kazuomi is just someone who is used to intimacy, and suggested it to Kei to try to "unlock" his issue.
It was probably his way of telling Kei to open up his world to not just one woman, to make Kei able to function properly without depending on just the MC. He was probably worried of Kei's condition.
Now, I completely agree that it's unpleasant to hear this. I also didn't like that part of the story. At all.
However, it does make sense that Kazuomi, in other routes, with no romantic ties and understanding of what real love is, follows his hedonistic tendencies and just goes "why not sleep around?" because that's how HE is, so he just gives advice he'd follow.
As for how much it actually fits his personality and character, I'm skeptical about that.
There was a very early story for Kazuomi in which he almost cheated on the MC, or at the very least, got interested in another woman, and realized the reason why he was attracted was because she wore the same scent as MC.
It was annoying and disappointing to read, because the explanation felt poor. It didn't seem like him, either. However, I will say that it's possible the writer either changed some things about his personality later on, or she was not in charge of this story which would explain that shocking scene.
That's possibly what happens in Kei or Yuzu's stories as well. Since the other writer has to include Kazuomi (although we don't see him as much now lol), chances are high she just characterizes him differently because:
1) she knows him less and might mischaracterize him.
or
2) she uses him to fit her narrative and to create drama to make fans fear that Kei will really sleep around. But in doing so, slightly twists his character for convenience.
Now, it's true that Kazuomi is a womanizer, so of course when it's not his story, it's completely understandable that he could suggest something like that. It's not IMPOSSIBLE to imagine. I do believe he might have suggested it when Kei and MC might have still been together? Or not. I forgot if it happened.
Ultimately, I disagree that this is representative of Kazuomi's actual ethics. He is someone who has been wronged and cheated on himself, so I would assume he wouldn't suggest to his friend to do the same to his woman, or even if they weren't together anymore, to jump onto any woman (fresh out of a relationship he ended because of the physical intimacy he struggled keeping up with again, too).
And like you said, he actually does see the MC as a pal now.
So yeah, if I rationalize this, it's more likely Kazuomi "encouraged" that out of concern for Kei, but I definitely don't like or agree that portraying Kazuomi this way is in character. Not with how respectful he is shown to actually be in his own route.
Ultimately, I don't think Kei's writer intended this moment to reflect a deep moral statement for Kazuomi with this scene (or any other similar one), but just a way to support his friend in his own way.
The moments in which these statements happened in, and also knowing Kazuomi, we could also conveniently consider that he was just being playful, teasing and to keep the tone light.

I've been joking and wondering about it myself because god knows the amount must be high. I think they lost count themselves.
Since this is not something I can be 100% certain about, I'll be extrapolating from what I know to be canon.
Kazuomi is notorious for having dated a lot of women. He is a flirtatious and charismatic man. He tried his luck with anyone he found attractive. He has a long list of women on his phone. He canonically has a high body count.
Yuzuru too had plenty of sexual partners that were convenient until they were not. He is more selective but used to choose women based on their looks, so he had plenty of opportunities as well.
Kei is the only one whose past sexual relationships with women are acknowledged, though how far those relationships went is never specified.
I mostly think he tied them up and might have used his fingers, which counts as sexual as well.
Seiichi has experience with women, we simply don't know how much but based on how long he's been an agent, I'd say a lot.
Speculations:
Based on my own speculation I'd say Kazuomi could easily reach around 100+.
I don't think that'd be unrealistic for someone like him. But maybe more around 60-80? There's no way I can know exactly. But it's a high number for sure.
Same for Yuzuru. The 2S's said his libido was higher and he's notorious for his stamina, so he probably had sex a bit less often than Kazuomi but dedicated a good amount of time to the activity when he could 😂
Since Yuzuru usually kept the same woman until he got rid of her, I'd imagine he has a lower but still high body count. It's not possible for me to say for sure the exact number but maybe around 30-40.
As for Kei... He did it as a way to manipulate women and due to his aversion to sex, avoided it anytime he could.
When he felt like it could be beneficial to him to do it, and to release his inner desires in a way he can control, he chose women that wouldn't easily "break".
Kei was definitely very selective about his partners and most likely doesn't have a big body count compared to the other two.
But it's probably higher than average people due to his social status and opportunities.
It's very hard to think about a specific number with him as well. Possibly around 20-40. Maybe even less, or maybe more.
As for Seiichi, it must be quite high. Lower than Kazuomi and likely higher than Kei, so around a similar amount to Yuzuru.
Maybe even a bit higher, like 30-60.
He's known for including sex as part of his missions before being with the MC, and often used relationships if they were beneficial to him. Sleeping with women strategically wasn't a problem for him.
When he wasn't on a mission, it was hinted he had a few relationships that were more emotional rather than physical. I think he must have a high body count as well, but he's mysterious so nothing's certain.
I might be overestimating them but I think such men had plenty of opportunities that can explain it all.
I sadly can't answer this with exact numbers even though I wish I knew them 😏

I don't see that kind of situation explored in Voltage's games.
Only titles like Oops, I said Yes?! or Wait, I'm the Bride?! would count, since they're literally married after the prologue or during S1, but that's kind of a loophole answer haha.
I don't think I know of any title that represents a relationship like that, at least not where LIs and the MC are in love before marriage and willingly wait until then.
Some titles are very subtle about the intimacy part and it sometimes gets skipped, but intimacy is practically always included before marriage, even if it sometimes takes time.
I only know of titles that include less sexual content, but not of any that wait before marriage.

Do you think that Voltage adding new characters to titles like Irresistible Mistakes and Oops I Said Yes are helping or hurting the overall quality of their stories? I wouldn't say I'm against adding new characters but lately it feels like they're only adding them for the sake of extending the title's duration rather than letting it end. As much as I liked IM, I do think it should end considering most of the LIs there have their storyline wrapped up but then they decided to add Minoru and Aki and those two new ones in the JP app (which are love choice). And the same can be said with Kiyosumi from OISY even though his story got a lot of pushback for it being love choice. It kind of bothers me Voltage is putting their focus on those stories instead of letting the title end and focusing on other stories which hurts the overall quality of the story if all they're after is quantity by continuing titles that should've ended a while ago.

Extending Titles vs Preserving Quality
I do think some titles begin to overstay their welcome once character arcs and central conflicts have already been explored thoroughly.
When plotlines start to feel recycled, extending a series can weaken what originally made it strong.
That has always been my personal feeling about Irresistible Mistakes. As for Oops, I Said Yes?!, I haven’t read enough to give a fully objective opinion, though I do think office romance as a genre can be limiting if not handled creatively.
Workplace dynamics tend to revolve around similar themes:
Secrecy, jealousy, power imbalance, misunderstandings, and without strong narrative growth, it can start to feel repetitive.
Conceptually, adding new LIs isn’t a bad idea. A fresh character can revive a title and introduce new dynamics.
The issue, in my opinion, is intention. When a story already feels complete, new additions can come across as prolonging a successful formula rather than expanding the narrative in a meaningful way.
With IM specifically, I personally never felt the writing quality was as strong as its popularity suggests.
While it has entertaining moments, many of the early routes rely heavily on harsh first impressions and some core problematic behavior from the LIs that isn’t always addressed as thoroughly as it could be, if even at all.
I sometimes find it surprising that these aspects aren’t discussed more often, especially when similar criticisms are often directed toward characters in other titles.
Because of that, it was harder for me to stay emotionally invested long-term in IM.
When more LIs are added to a title that already feels narratively exhausted (to me), it doesn’t feel like growth, it feels like maintenance.
At the same time, I understand that from a business perspective, continuing a proven title is safer than launching a completely new one. Especially if previous newer titles didn’t perform as expected.
Voltage must currently not be in a position that's safe enough to take risks.
Ultimately, I think long-running stories benefit from knowing when to end. Letting a title conclude gracefully can preserve its legacy and leave room for fresher, bolder ideas.
But that’s just my personal take, and I know many readers still genuinely enjoy these stories

No, Kazuomi's route isn't over yet!
I have to update the stories/chronology guide with the recent releases but so far, Kazuomi doesn't have many new updates, if at all.
I don't have the dates of release in mind but there is always a tiny bit of content here and there for MK even when it's so slow lately.
There hasn't been any announcement about Kazuomi's route ending and so far the storyline actually reached a new arc so, in case they decide to stop the route abruptly, there shouldn't be any trouble with continuing it!

Collector's Edition
First of all, feel free to speak in your own language if you prefer. I can translate it and do my best to reply in your language as well ❤
You can always reread the LC routes even without the Collector’s Edition! You just have to start from the beginning, or continue from where you previously stopped if you had already started reading it.
You can’t read episodes in a random order for stories that originally required the Collector’s Edition, but you can still read them normally ❤
However, the Collector’s Edition only applied to older LC stories (at least in Masquerade Kiss). Newer stories don’t use that system anymore.
Now you can basically jump between episodes in recent stories without having to start the entire story over. However, if you want your Love Meter to reset, you need to start again from Episode 1.
Story Prices
You can refer to my #walkthrough tag where I post the maximum and minimum amount of hearts you need for each story.
That way, you'll be able to compare and calculate in your currency how many you'd have to buy and check the price.
Kei's stories are slightly more expensive compared to the other Love Interests, for example.
VIP Events Prices
As for VIP events, they are really expensive in general.
Most MK events include 42 prizes you have to get to fully complete them.
The events about the Love Interests' past have 50 prizes.
The Birthday events have 28 prizes.
You have to spend 30 hearts for 1 prize.
So you usually need around 1260 hearts for one event, and 1500 hearts if you do an event that has 50 prizes.
For reference, it costs me approximately $130 to complete an event in my currency (more or less).
