16. Does your OC put up a façade or are they their genuine self around others? And would other characters agree with their answer?

Oyuki has mild trust issues when it comes to people so she purposely does try to make herself as unassuming as possible, that's why she looks up to Trey so much with his whole 'I'm just a normal guy' schtick.

The more she opens up to you, the more you get to see her express different emotions. She'll laugh a bit louder, smile a bit wider, but also cry when she's overwhelmed and shout when she's angry. But if you ask any NPC on campus they'll tell you

"Oyuki-san is a bit unapproachable sometimes but she's a dependable prefect who seems like she can take anything in stride."

18. What something that could get your OC in danger of an overblot? Are they the type to internalise and linger on their frustrations or do they cope and move on?

I had a post about this sitting in my drafts that just never made it out so it's good that you brought it up now.

So I'll start this by saying, Oyuki's a cry baby and is prone to tantrums. Think of Azul's iconic tantrum but with more crying. But she's been taught from a young age to behave and to not do that because 'crying doesn't solve anything', which is true but she was never taught what healthy coping mechanisms look like since her dad also has a nasty temper. So instead she pushes all those nasty emotions to the back of her mind to deal with never. You can see where I'm going with this.

If there was anytime for her to overblot (if she could) it'd probably be a few days before she has to face the mirror and choose if she wants to go 'home' or stay in Twisted Wonderland. Everyone starts to kind of skirt around her because they don't want to seem as if they're trying to force her to stay (even if some of them really want to) and Leona starts becoming distant as well because he's convinced himself that there's no way in hell she'd choose him over her old life.

This is, understandably, upsetting and makes Oyuki feel rather alienated. She takes it as the universe urging her to return to where she is 'supposed to' be. But she doesn't want to go back. She's made more long-lasting friends in this one school year than she did in 18 years of her life back in her world. But if she doesn't go back, not only is she not showing filial piety, which was something heavily enforced in her family, she's also abandoning her brother to bear the brunt of all their parents' expectations. In other words, she's being a bad daughter and a bad sister. And everyone in twst seems so ready to see her go back, even her boyfriend. The more she thinks about it the more upset she gets and the more skewed her thoughts become. It becomes less 'why is this happening?' and more 'why is this happening to me?'

She wants both. She wants to be with her brother and to have her life in Twisted Wonderland. Why does she have to be the one to choose? Why does she always have to be the one to sacrifice something? Why is it that no matter what she chooses, she's always letting people down? Why her? Why? Why? Why?

Why hasn't anyone asked her to stay?

And yea, after that she throws a tantrum worthy of 15 years of repressed emotions.

25. What does your OC's magicam look like? Are they actively posting or just following people the know? Are they the type to customize their profile with silly profile pictures and wallpapers or does it still look like it came straight from the factory?

She only follows people she knows and she uses magicam as a place to archive her pictures. She condenses every significant event in her life (twst events and such) into one post of 10 photos or less after they happen. More active in the shorts department, though 7/10 times she uploads to her close friends list and it's usually just food pics or Heartshackle being stupid. She never edits any of her pictures, just goes *click* *post* and moves on with her life.

Her bio would be 'Ramshackle prefect' and then whatever random thing she thought about while making dinner. This second line can range from somewhat thought provoking:

1. If your OC uses cosmic magic, is it light or dark magic?

I think she'd use light magic. I saw someone on reddit point out that all the other known light magic users (Rook, Kalim, and Silver) all kind of 'don't belong'. Kalim is heavily implied to only be at NRC because his family made a "generous donation" to the college, Rook moved dorms, and Silver's a human who was raised by fae. By that logic, Oyuki, the resident other-worlder, would also have light magic. Also Oyuki's like, not a jerk lol and actually cares about people's feelings.

2. What does winter break look like for Oyuki?

Oyuki's a yuu so... see book 4. If she didn't have to deal with the manifestation of teenage angst, her winter break would actually be pretty peaceful. Since campus is pretty empty and it's cold outside, she'd be hunkered down in Ramshackle either painting, reading, or gaming, only leaving to tend to the fire fairies or whatever other chore Crowley's dumped on her. Maybe she'll hang out at the Mostro Lounge, pick up a few shifts if Azul's looking for workers.

Once she and Leona get together though, he is dragging her ass to the Sunset Savannah where she'll be wined and dined but will also have Cheka dumped on her at every given opportunity.

4. If your OC could redesign their dorm/got to make changes to their dorm, what would that look like?

(Let's assume Ramshackle has been renovated fully and is now not one massive health and safety violation)

Oyuki wouldn't change anything about the building itself per say, more like designate different rooms for different things cuz she got the whole two-story building to herself anyway.

She would deck out the kitchen. Rice cooker, air fryer, electric mixer, ice cream maker, the whole nine yards. After spending so much time at Heartslabyul's unbirthday parties she's been thinking of trying out baking. She'd also have a room specifically to paint in, it has all her art supplies and canvases and stuff.

Does Ramshackle have the electrical capabilities of supporting a roomba? Perhaps even two? She would like one for the lounge and one for the guest room.

21. How's your OC's rooming situation? Do they get along with their roomate(s) or do they enjoy the privilege of a room to themselves?

She would like to have a room to herself but even before she got isekai'd, her and her brother shared a room so eh ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

She won't share a room with just anyone though, especially not people she's only known for a few weeks (I made a separate post talking about Oyuki's oddly specific sleeping preferences here) but Grim, by virtue of being a cat and also her little blorbo, is an exception and she's more than happy to share with him. The ghosts are a bit trickier because she can't really do anything to stop them from setting up on the roof like they did w/ Yuuken in the anime but luckily they respect boundaries so they have a gentleman's (gentle-ghosts?) agreement to not sleep in Oyuki's room.

I have this headcanon in my head that she actually did clean a separate room for Grim, at his insistence mind you, only for the direbeast to knock on her door in the middle of the night asking to sleep in her room anyway. But not because he's scared got it?! He just has to make sure nothing bothers his hench-human at night!

RUGGIEYUKI FANCHILD YEAAAAA.

He thinks it's funny in the most condescending way. He makes a game out of it. If Ruggie's kid can find him and get him off his ass, they can 'bully' him all they want, within reason. Chores, lunch, a 'friendly' spelldrive 1v1, hell he'll even call them 'boss' if that's what they want. I think their dynamic would be Kalim and Jamil if Jamil was doing this for shits and giggles instead of indentured servitude (I don't know what Ruggie's kid is like tho so maybe this is incorrect).

Most of their 'rivalry' to him is just,

If the kid says anything about his parents though, especially his mom, they'll get a harsh reminder that they're still dealing with a Kingscholar (they will get beat up).

Also, I hc that even as an adult, Leona is still Ruggie's guy when he needs to pull a favor (because let's face it the guy owes him) and Tumaini has a habit of sneaking out of the palace to go frolic in the streets so he's definitely given Ruggie at least one heart attack by suddenly showing up in his neck of the woods unsupervised.

Cause I see a lot of Leona stuff in your feed, and I ain't sure if you're into him or Oyuki is into him or both. Just very curious and wanna hear you yap Abt Oyuki again.

Oh btw if it's not Leona, is there anyone else she is shipped with? Or like very close platonically?

When you point out my blatant simping for Leona like that I feel kind of embarrassed lol. But yea it's both. I gave Oyuki my infatuation for the depressed lion man.

At the start of the story she was actually intimidated by him. After his overblot her feelings started to change but it wasn't until she and Grim had to stay at Savanaclaw because of the whole octavinelle incident that it went from "this guy's scary" to "oh he's actually nice."

Then the more she starts to see the person behind the lazy demeanor (and that he's actually a big softie), the more her feelings start to spiral. The gap moe dug itself into her heart and refused to let go. She wants nothing but good things for him in life. They get together post-book 6.

Platonically, she warmed up to Deuce pretty quickly because of how earnest he is and it took a while but by the end of book 4, Oyuki would walk over hot coal (or launch herself into the underworld) for Grim and Ace too. Another person she would die for is Ortho, he reminds her of her own lil' bro.
