Does the Franco film "Devil Hunter" count as a cannibal film or a zombie film? Its never really established if the creature is undead or something else.
I always took him a mutation of some type, a la Porno Holocaust (1981) .
I do include Devil Hunter in the cannibal genre personally, the tribe its self kind of seals it for me, but could definitely have an astrik next to it.
Do you have a personal favorite top ten Franco movies? He's done so many but what do you think are his best?
It would probably change each week, but off the cuff, in no order, and cuts/versions may vary:
Kiss Me Monster (1969)
Vampyros Lesbos (1971)
The Sadist of Notre Dame (1979)
Kiss Me Killer (1977)
Blue Rita (1977)
Female Vampire (1973)
Daughter of Dracula (1972)
Countess Perverse (1975)
Al otro lado del espejo (1973)
She Killed in Ecstasy (1971)
99 Women (1969)
Venus in Furs (1969)
Two Female Spies with Flowered Panties (1980)
Sadomania (1981)
Ilsa, the Wicked Warden (1977)
Barbed Wire Dolls (1976)
Count Dracula (1970)
Sorry, it's not ten; it cant be done. I still feel like I'm forgetting an important one.
Should the 2000 film "The Convent" be classified as a nunsploitation film?
I think it could slide in there in the say way The Nun (2018) does. We don't get a ton of nun-action though.
I like The Convent, but being judged as a nunsploitation film wouldn't do it any favors. It wouldn't check enough boxes... let alone contain enough blasphemy.

The Criterion Closet or the Severin Cellar?
That's a hard one,
It would be really hard to pick in the Severin Cellar and it could be pretty fun to go to the Criterion Closet in a nice sweater and combed hair, only to pick up Armageddon (1998).
For this Franco Friday, can I request "Devil Hunter"? Ursula Buchfellner was stunning in that film.
This weeks the week!
Also check out the "Devil Hunter" tag for past Fridays
and take a look at VideoReligion After Dark !
Happy Franco Friday!
Any plans for a Roger Corman tribute?
I was working on some gifs from my favorite movies of his, but I don't have anything planned worthy of the man. Any Ideas?
