Question for mod: How did you come up with sam? She's freaking adorbz.

[Mod here! First off, I never expected a question for little old me but here we go.

I wish I could have drawn this out, but unfortunately, Sam is one of my oldest OCs, so I would have had like 48 pages drawn out explaining about how I came up with her and her history.

It started back when my brother got SA:2 for our Gamecube, which was my first formal introduction into the Sonic franchise. I had a super active imagination, and always had day dreams of stories and adventures of my other OCs, so after being introduced to the Sonic universe, I wanted to make a character.

At first, Sam looked a lot different; I don’t have any photos or pictures of her original design, but I can say she was pink with green rings and was basically a Sonic recolor as far as design goes. But I really wasn’t fond of her pink color, and started to get frustrated–the last straw was my brother mentioning she looked like Sonic and Amy’s kid.

So, Sam was one of the first OCs that actually went under several different changes before I was satisfied; after she was pink, she was black, and then I finally settled on purple with her gold rings. At first, Sam was just a fun rival character for Sonic, but over the years, her story’s been changed, her appearance has been altered, and she actually just went another redesign this year! Just minor changes.

So I guess the short hand of it was I was a smol bab, wanted a character to go on adventures with Sonic, and then I made Sam.

So, sam! How did you and shadow fall in love?

Sam: It’s sappy, I know! Shadow has a more definitive answer–at least that’s what he told me once.

Shadow: There's a little more to it, of course, but that's the basic version, at least for the 1st time I met her.
