If it's not too much trouble. Can you draw Seth (Adam and Eve's third son)? I like to see what your design of him looks like.

So this was kinda tricky cuz to be perfectly honest, I'd put, like, a single thought into Seth before this. The brainrot has been squarely tied to Cain and Abel, neither of whom he would've met on Earth and his only real ties to them are that he was born to replace Abel. As a result, I hadn't really put a lot of thought towards him before this. But I wanted to give this a fair shake and try and logic out how I'd see him with the existence of my Cain specifically, so a lot of my thoughts on him will be with my version of Cain in mind.

Apologies that it's super sketchy. I've never designed a Heaven character, so I was very much out of my element. Not a bad thing. Very good exercise for sure, just super different. Anyway, I mostly wanted to just get a basic idea down for what I have in mind and throw down some colors that may or may not be final. Hair and eye color would be, I think, but I'm not sure about the rest of him. Maybe I'll revisit him cuz this did make me think about him and his relationships with his brothers a bit more so...maybe? We'll see.

Anyway, here he be:

So! I'll break him down a bit. I see him aesthetically being like a balance between his parents. Whereas I think Abel definitely took more after Eve in personality and looks (cuz while there's some semblance, I don't see much of Adam in Abel at all), and I'm just in too deep with the notion that Cain would look the most like Adam between the three of them, I think it'd make sense for attempt number 3 to have traits from both parents.

Personality-wise, I see him being kind've insufferable, tbh. Specifically because he's described as being very faithful to God and representing the 'righteous line' to contrast the descendants of Cain. So I imagine he'd have an ego; seeing himself as the 'best of the three'. In terms of Heaven characters, I could see him being one of the few (and only) people on Lute's side. Specifically I see him being miffed at the idea that these sinners can just come to Heaven now after the atrocities they would've committed in their lives whereas he 'earned' his place in Heaven. So he could play more of an antagonistic role as a result.

As for why he wouldn't have been chosen to succeed Adam as the leader of Heaven's army, I imagine that has more to do with Abel being older and the Seraphim maybe viewing it as a seniority thing (on top of Abel being more fair)? Not that I see Seth necessarily vying for the position. At least not actively. Basically, I see him treating it as 'waiting for Abel to fail', at which point he'd come in to 'replace him again'. I also just don't think he'd be very nice to Abel in general. I don't see him being outright 'mean' to him the way Adam probably was (why else would Abel think Adam didn't like him?), but I do see him being condescending in the way certain Christians can be. Where they're being outwardly nice, but the things they're actually saying are horrible. I'm sure you've met people like this; people who use their faith to excuse their horrible behavior. It's not the majority, of course, but it absolutely exists.

Anyway, another aspect of his design that I would draw more from going forward would be in regards to the whole 'rock star' thing shared among Adam and his sons. Since they are linked to different types of rock music (toxically masculine rock for Adam, 'classic' rock for Abel, and, for my Cain at least: heavy metal, emotionally-driven rock), I also see Seth being associated with a type of rock music and that would be Christian rock. As a character that is, from so many angles, defined by his devotion to God, it just makes sense to me.

Voice-wise, I used to listen to a couple songs by some Christian rock bands like Skillet and Red back in high school (before I actually knew they were Christian rock. I just liked the sound of some of their music. Never got big into either of them, but some of their songs stuck with me). I specifically remember really liking 'Death of Me' and 'Breathe Into Me' by Red. So I was listening to a bit of that while working on this to get into the right headspace. As such, I could see the voice of the lead singer Michael Barnes for Seth here, but that's not super concrete for me yet.

Last thing I wanna bring up, is something that I just kinda like about what I did here. It's a design element I drew from Abel's canon design that I'm carrying over into both his siblings, and that's their hair styles - specifically their bangs. Cain doesn't have this anymore, but I'm in the process of working on something where he does. Basically, he just wears his hair differently after some time spent in Hell for a number of reasons, so he no longer shares this trait in my existing drawings of him, but it's something I wanted to incorporate to kinda tie their designs together in some way. I'll get to the one with Cain when I can. I'm just not...done with it. I'm not the fastest with this kinda thing. Goin' as fast as I can!

Anyway, I don't have much else to say about this for now. I hope you like him.

I apologize for earlier if it was not written correctly, I do not know English well and I write with a translator.I have a question about the relationship between Abel, Cain and Sin (I think I spelled the name of the latter correctly in different translations, it sounds different) I'm wondering how the three of them relate to each other (maybe there was an answer to my question, but I just didn't see it) like, according to the last Easter Art, it seemed to me sin gently speaking of which , he is not very happy with the company of his older brothers , although perhaps he just does not like Cain because he showed him the fact , and in such cases , how Kayan treats sin , thanks a lot for the answer earlier , I adore your work , you are one of the few authors of Cain/Abel, whom I adore (I draw them myself, but I'm not good at it ) You really piss me off!))) thank you)))

To answer your question: No, Seth doesn't really like either of his brothers. He'll play nice with Abel for the most part because it's expected of him, but he doesn't enjoy Abel's company. And he doesn't like Cain at all. He shares Adam's hatred of sinners and that absolutely extends to Cain. None of this is necessarily personal. He didn't have any connection to either of them in life and only met Abel after he ascended to Heaven. So there's no emotional connection to either of them.

But it's all good; Cain also hates him and, as far as he's concerned, he only has one brother and that's Abel. And then there's Abel himself, who wants to have a better relationship with both his brothers because they're kind've all he has left.

heya, I saw your post and I'm really sorry you had a disappointing experience with Neil; I get that BG3 and Astarion shot him to fame but there's still a lot of fans around for his older roles actively posting fics and art (karl, nikolai ginoviev, kamsi etc), so it's not a dead fandom by any means. Village isn't an 'old' game either (it's only 3 years old??) and anyone who says so is wrong imo. I hope your week gets better~

I've been mostly spending the last week recovering from being sick and drawing to get out the negative feelings while also trying to rationalize a lot of that interaction.

Honestly, I didn't want to make that post super long, so I didn't go in-depth with all of it for the sake of brevity (because I tend to over explain and get to be very long winded - as you're about to see). I do want to insist that I don't necessarily blame Neil for it being negative. I'm sure it was mostly on me and I'm also sure I was overreacting. Drawing that was just my way of getting out some of those negative feelings instead of spiraling.

So, in regards to the convention: we wound up waiting basically 2 days to even meet Neil. Not...because we wanted to, mind. His line was crazy long every day and it wasn't uncommon to see people sitting down in his line, usually waiting for him to come back from a panel or a photo op. All the lines were moving slow all weekend, though. Not just his. That was one of my biggest issues with the convention as a whole and a critique genuinely unique to this one since the last Fan Expo I went to wasn't nearly that bad.

Our weekend was unfortunately pretty booked as well, so we couldn't wait all day and, after being in his line for nearly 3 hours that morning and barely moving, we had to leave for a lunch reservation with some friends who could only be there for one day after he left for a panel, cutting the line off. They did give out little numbers to anyone who'd been waiting up until that point to hop back into line later that day, however, if we had somewhere to be.

Due to short staffing at the restaurant, lunch also ran long and we didn't end up getting back until about an hour before the convention hall was set to close. We ran to Neil's line where they were cutting it off and, I'm super ashamed to admit, I let my boyfriend lie our way back into line (he told them we were leaving that night instead of staying the full 3 days we'd paid for, which coerced them to let us enter the line anyway) and spent the rest of the wait feeling guilty and really tempted to leave despite knowing on some level that this would likely be our last chance for the weekend. That's still on me. I could've said no and just left and not been a total piece of shit, but I didn't. Granted, other people got in line after us, so they weren't being that strict about it anyway, but I digress.

Regardless, we were already pushing it and I know that and I regret it. When we get to the front, I already wanted to keep things brief; get an autograph if I could, but mostly show him the Heisenberg plushie I'd made not long after the game came out.

(this is the plushie, btw. He took months to complete because he's entirely hand sewn - with the face being hand-embroidered - and was a major comfort project because of a lot of things going on in my personal life at the time that were causing me major stress. I've been hoping Neil would come to a con close enough for us to travel to at least so I could show him and this weekend was finally the opportunity I was waiting on).

So, we get to the front of the line and I see that he doesn't have any Village prints. Frankly, outside of Astarion, he doesn't have any other character prints except for one, which was a general Resident Evil group kinda thing with all the Resident Evil characters he'd done. There might've been one other, but I don't think it was for a character? It might've just been a headshot, but I could be wrong. I just know it wasn't Heisenberg-related, so I do not remember it clearly.

I was disappointed, but I decided to get the Resident Evil print anyway. I was initially going to have him sign a trench coat I'd made while working on the plushie. It was kinda practice to learn how to make the coat for that project and now it's just...my Heisenberg coat that I wear in winter. It's very warm. But I never ended up showing it to him after we finally get in front of him because the guilt was just too much.

So we start off and I was trying to be jokey and playful as I said 'I'm kinda disappointed you didn't have any Heisenberg prints' while showing him the plushie, but I can definitely see how, regardless of the tone I was trying to use, didn't come across right. So maybe *I* came off as rude instead despite trying to just...start a conversation about how I really liked Heisenberg? Totally possible. I'm not denying that.

And that's when Neil said that they don't bring prints along for Heisenberg anymore. That Village is an older game, so they don't get a lot of requests for it anyway and thus they save space when traveling. More disappointing. I started feeling worse because I could tell he was tired. It was the longest day for the exhibition hall to be open and he was still going even after everyone else was closing. He did arrive an hour after the hall opened, but it was still a long day, I know. I felt guilty and shitty, but, once he was done signing, I could properly show off the plushie - including the little cigars I'd made that he can hold cuz he has magnets in his hands. Maybe that would make him smile and lift his mood, y'know? So I was excited for his reaction and...

Nothing. Maybe a little laugh in that 'oh, that's cute' kinda way. He kinda did the voice when he saw it, but not really. I just...felt myself sink. I felt so embarrassed to have been so excited for this. My boyfriend asked if he could get a picture of Neil holding it and he did, but I was just...done. I wanted to leave because I realized that this was a mistake. It was late, he was tired, and this character doesn't mean much anymore because it's an older game that's been well overshadowed by Baldur's Gate III.

We wrapped up and left and that was it. I couldn't bring myself to say anything about how much Heisenberg meant to me as a character. I couldn't make myself show off the things about the plushie I was so proud of. I just wanted to leave because I felt like such a leech and that I shouldn't have done this.

I'm not dismissing the way I handled all of this. Looking back, I blame myself for my own bad time and I definitely blame myself for that interaction being as bad as it was. Neil was tired and, to a degree, he's right; it's not the new game that everyone's obsessed with right now. I shouldn't take it personally.

But it's easy to say that. It's so much harder to actually follow through with it. I couldn't help but feel upset because everyone else in line who'd seen the plushie would get excited to see it. Even the event manager who was hanging around at the end of the day told me I should sell them. Hell, back in April of this year, I even got to meet Maggie Robertson, who happened to be going to Fan Expo Cleveland (I live in Ohio, so less travel for that one). I thought it'd make her laugh (cuz, y'know, the size difference is accurate, right?) and, despite acting offended that I'd even bring him before her at all, she was still excited to talk about it and seemed to enjoy engaging with it. She was delightful and clearly still loves her character and that game, which made the contrast of meeting Neil so much more striking and...kinda hurtful...

So yeah...Sorry. That's a whole lotta words for 'I'm surely the reason it was so bad', but ye...Kinda got me out of an art funk, I guess. So that's something...maybe...

I'm gearing up for a garage sale at the beginning of June to really clear out my house at the moment and I have to do everything myself (living alone isn't always ideal), so I'm unfortunately going to have to devote all of my free time outside of my jobs to that. There's a lot to go through and not much time left.

I don’t really understand why you’re asking me this. Like, I’ve never posted anything like this before, but...

If I had to offer my take, I’d...guess it depends on which Beetlejuice we’re talking about?

I don’t think movie BJ would care much. If he gets an easy lay out of it, he might be receptive, but I don’t see him caring about an actual relationship.

Cartoon Beej is rarely shown to have any interest in such a thing as well, but mostly because that’s not what the show was about and it was the hijinks between him and Lydia that was the focus. I suppose he’d be into it, but, frankly, I don’t really know.

And musical Beej would be hella into it because ATTENTION?! AFFECTION?! MAKEOUTS?! MORE?! So ye...he’d like it.

I apologize that this isn’t, like, detailed. I know nothing about Supernatural past the Scooby Doo episode. I’ve never seen the series with the exception of that one episode, so I cannot comment on any character this proposed reader would have in relation to that. And I don’t write fanfiction for Beetlejuice. I haven’t written fanfiction in a hot minute and I’ve never written for Beej, thusI’m not an authority on that either.
