Ourg Thank you 🚀🚀🚀💥! Although I really have to owe my Zaphod’s physique (and pre-canon overall design) to Steve Leialoha’s work in the comics!

Apart from that I’d also have to redirect you to Jonathan Burton’s choice of Zaphod clothing references when he worked on the Illustrated Folio edition! The big hair and loud clothes of glam rock are very influential on my Zaphod’s look.

I feel like the song Pretty Fly for a White Guy by the Offspring fits Zaphod very well, do you agree?

I’m inclined to say no because I do not like that song very much, and as a result have a hard time tying it to anything I like. But something like Rock Of Ages that also starts with “gunter glieben glauchen globen” I could say yes

how/why did you decide to give trillian rainbow hair? i love how you draw her btw!! ^_^

(Thank you!) The first two times ^ I’ve ever colored in drawings of Trillian, I gave her the thermal heat map hair for the sole reason of “this might look cool”. But I do have a better elaboration than that:

1. Mainly it’s just because I like the graphics they show on the weather forecast because they entrance me; since she is “devastatingly attractive” the hair makes her all the more alluring and pleasant to look at. It’s like getting lost in someone’s eyes, but hair

2. (To serve as a more grounded and sensible reason) I feel like with her newfound confidence of changing her name (Tricia -> Trillian) she’d also change other aspects about herself that she might be insecure about or just always wanted to try but felt she shouldn’t due to the rather dull nature of human social expectations. So with that and maybe a little persuasion from Zaphod, her hair is obviously dyed to be much more colorful and is also crimped like Sandra Dickinson’s in the tv series.

Eventually though it faded out and isn’t as vibrant in my Mostly Harmless+ design of her. I’ve thought of other ways to draw/color her hair, though, such as:

I Thank you! My wonderful amalgamation of things I like to varying degrees! I put it together almost three years ago, so if I were to remake it there would certainly be some changes, but I usually stray away from doing so because there’s just So much to include.. 👍👍👥👍Wow, and I’ll say it again to annoy the press, wow
