OOC: You guys must be really desperate to get rid of me. Is it because I don’t put up with your shit, you’re still holding a grudge from years ago, or something else? As for RP partners leaving the site. I can’t say that I blame them. I’ve been watching what’s been going on and I have to agree with them that the RPC has changed and not in a good way.

The ‘purge’ may have just been the start, but the community as a whole has been driving people away that have been RPing for years because of their attitude. Some don’t seem to understand that a lot of people have lives outside of RP. School to attend and focus on, work to make sure they are able to live and survive. Maybe even medical issues that make it so they’re not available. People aren’t around for their own reasons and those that demand that they get attention constantly have made it so some just don’t want to come back and deal with the harassment.

Those people want others to show them attention by sending asks and memes and whatever else, but can never seem to return that courtesy. You can only take so much before someone else wonders why you’re not giving as well. RP is about give and take. It’s about a partnership to write a story together that further develops your characters. Not just people sending one person things to develop that character while ignoring everyone else. Life might not be fair, but we as a community should be.

We all come on here to relax, some of us to escape the shit of our own daily lives and all of us come here to develop bonds with people through our characters. But when a person can’t seem to distinguish fantasy from reality or mun from muse, there becomes a problem and those people lately have been very vocal. These are usually the same people that cry that no one wants to talk to them, no one loves them and they start to demand attention or ‘vague on main’ which for me, is a huge turn off.

And am I expecting torches and pitchforks to show up in my inbox after this, a little bit, but I’m just speaking my mind on what I’ve watched since I’ve been on this site RPing these same two characters for almost four years now. Everything has started becoming people demanding attention from others, while not giving as well.

It’s just sad really.
