My fourth year vending at Bronycon has come and gone so fast, but it was definitely one of the best years I've had! My prints and commissions were received wonderfully and the best were the fans of my comic who would come and visit! I can only see things going up from here, but it'll take a lot of hard work along the way! This was also the first year that I had the opportunity to hang out and make friends with the other vendors (and meet online friends!) I had dinner with @ask-wiggles (who I also got a pic with before I forgot!) @askpiratedash, @greensalamander and many more! My anxiety had me worried that I was annoying people, but I'm trying to be more confident and trust that people really do like being around me. So thanks you guys, for giving me that opportunity! I can't wait to see some of you again at Trotcon!

Rusty Nail’s Recipes

Dear Drinkers. I have spent quite a few words, in an earlier post, summarizing my thoughts on what I’m about to touch on. It’s not an end. Hell, it’s not even the denouement yet. It is, however, a signal. A beacon. A guiding light, that lets us know that even when it seems like we’re losing something dear; we may be gaining something new as well.

And we could use more of that, these days.

I... Really can’t stress enough how good a person Wiggles is. How much I’ve watched her art, and storytelling grow, at a rate that has left me in the dust. How ironclad and admirable her update schedule is, How she is, quite simply, the most professional artist in Tumblrpon.

This one’s for you, dude. Goddamn do you deserve it.

A Somboom Ingredients:

UV Blue Raspberry Vodka

Grapefruit Juice

Blue Curacao

As Many Shot Glasses As You Want, Chilled

A plate

Flake Sea Salt

a little bowl of water

Ice

Special Equipment:

A cocktail Shaker

Making a Somboom.

Put Ice, Juice, and both liquors into Shaker. You’re going to use the juice and two liquors in a 1:1:1 ratio, so make sure you stick to that, for however many shots you’re going to make,

Shake Well.

Put salt on plate.

Dip each glass mouth down into the water..

Dip each glass mouth down into the salt

Strain shaken mixture into glasses, being careful of salt rim..

Drink!

You’ve just made The Somboom!

I can’t draw. The use of pencil, or pen, or brush, or tablet eludes me. Truth be told, I have always been jealous, envious, and desirous of that capacity to create.

But I can make these recipes. And Nobody else can.

This one, for example, was based off of a Blue Kamikaze. It was intentionally made sweeter, however, so I could rub SALT AND TEARS all over the rim.~

So here’s my honoring. Here’s my glass raised high.

Thank you. You have been the soul of this community for years. You are probably my third favorite person to have met from this community, and given that I have been dating one of the other two of them for nearly three years now I’d say you’re in good company.

I remember sending you that first bottle of Honey Vanilla Vodka. Its Wiggles-Blue and Wiggles yellow a happy coincidence.

I can remember some of the earliest stuff that happened with the mod-blog, like

I remember calling you “Dude” for months, and months, and months; because “Wiggles” was genderless.

I remember talking with you back during the Pony Revolution, and suggesting the song from “The King And I”, ‘Give a Little Whistle” for Whistler’s passing.

I remember dragging you away from Tech and Pippa, and bodily hurling you through the Bronycon Vendor Hall going “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE YOU MET WIGGLES?!”

I remember getting compared to Mary Poppins because of that,

I remember helping to frantically pack up your booth, and helping to sell ears the next year.

I remember sharing a booth with you, and selling your merch while you were off being Blank Canvas the year after that.

I remember how you were one of the first people in Tumblrpon who immediately embraced and enjoyed my manner of conversation on Skype.

I remember so... many more things.

But what I remember most, are being able to say the two words Techno Wizard has drawn me saying in that image. The number of times you threw up your hands and went “WELL SINCE YOU GUESSED THE ENTIRE PLOT ANYWAY.”

I have a lot of memories of you, and this blog, Wiggles.

I can’t wait to make a lot of them with the next blog you do.

i haven’t drawn ponies in over a year surely but i just had to do it for @ask-wiggles / @ask-king-sombra ‘s “shot heard round the world”

i drew @gingerthesnap and i’s ponysonas we had for an ask blog we made in like 8th grade. king sombra also started around that time and we were both such huge fans of sombra and would talk about the updates whenever we were in our math class. now me and ging are gonna be seniors in just a few months and then heading to college and it’s kinda crazy to me that sombra is still there even though it’ll be ending soon. wiggles’ way of storytelling is so good and man i just mad look up to wiggles for continuing sombra for sooo long like wow

this is kinda rambley but yeah aks means a lot to me and i can’t wait to see how the story wraps up.

The shot seen ‘round the world.

Since I don’t have an MLP ask blog any more, I couldn’t use it to jump on this bandwagon. Luckily, I still have my ponysona.

Thank you for a great run, @ask-king-sombra! You were the ask blog I loved the most. When I started losing interest in all the MLP ask blogs I had been following on my own as I started to get involved in more fandoms, my love for yours burned so bright I still followed it here on my personal blog. It feels unreal that your blog is soon coming to an end, but every story has to end sometime.
