Favorite time of year: I like all of them for different reasons, but I think fall is my favorite overall. I like the changing of the seasons and my birthday is in the fall and it’s just a really lovely time of year. 

Comfort food: I love a really good sandwich. .

Favorite dessert: I think there’s two categories of dessert: desserts I can make myself and desserts that I can’t. I love my own homemade miso chocolate chip cookies and brownies. And I also love a chocolate croissant and tiramisu but I don’t try to make those. 

Things you collect: Limited run movie posters, comic books, introverts. 

Favorite drink: I love an unsweet iced tea with a lot of citrus in it, or bitter green tea. I also love a super sweet mocha, especially a peppermint mocha. 

Favorite musician/band: [parent voice] I love all of them equally!

Last song I listened to: Tomorrow by Silverchair

Last movie watched: I watched Coco again the other day for Dia de los Muertos and cried all over again.

Last series watched: Great British Bake Off

Currently watching: Drink Masters, mostly because my brain is feeling very lazy. 

Current obsession: Grad school. T_T Renovating my house. 

Dream place to visit: Oh man, so many... I’d like to go to Korea, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Costa Rica, Morocco, Istanbul, Croatia, Thailand, Singapore...    .

Places you wanna go back to: i dunno. no place, really. i've experienced the place, with the people i was with. i'd rather go somewhere new.

Something you want:  Time and energy to work on my writing projects. 

Currently working on: .....a lot of things that i’m way behind on.

Re: where to watch ella enchanted. It's on HBO Max and Hulu premium subscriptions. Otherwise you have to pay for it on YouTube, Amazon and shit. Or you can put on a funny hat and hit the high seas 🏴‍☠️🦜 Of course I would NEVER condone that last option (wink)

Hey questions!

I was tagged by the ever-wonderful @rah-bizzle who is kind enough to want to know stuff about my life or something I guess.  (ILU Friend)

What’s something good that happened in 2017? A few really good things happened in 2017! I guess the biggest ones were that I bought a house and moved out of my mom’s and also adopted a pup after YEARS of wanting to!  I also did a lot of work recovering from a bunch of shit that happened in 2016 and I feel proud of that.  

What are your goals for 2018? A lot of my goals are money related.  I’m trying to get my financials stable so that I can start saving up to do more traveling and stuff again.  I also want to start writing seriously again and maybe even get back into crafting.

What was one of the most fun things you’ve ever done? Going to Japan was pretty dang fun.  Going to San Diego Comic Con was also pretty dang fun even though I went solo.  

What’s the coolest thing within arm’s reach right now? I recently went through the ordeal of transferring all my pokemon from my past games from SoulSilver, Diamond/Pearl, Black/White and X/Y on up to Sun.  So I guess it’s pretty cool to have 10+ years of Pokemon in one place?!

What does your work space look like? My desk at work is great.  I have a standing desk and two monitors and several plants (including, at the moment, a beautiful hyacinth bulb in bloom) and Final Fantasy toys and other things like that.  I don’t really have a work space at home, which is part of why I have trouble getting real work done here.  ^^;;

What’s a new skill you’d like to learn someday? Video editing!  Also any kind of art.  I have had a lot of bad experiences with art teachers and classes so I’ve kind of given up on it, but maybe one day I’ll try again.

Is there a movie/show/game that changed your life, even in a small way? Ronin Warriors was the first anime that I really, really got into and really laid the groundwork for so much of my geekery.  I also need to give some credit to Pokemon, which is a bigger part of my life than I think I realize a lot of the time.  And then also the Final Fantasy / Kingdom Hearts series in general!

What’s a trope you enjoy in fiction? Can you give me an example? Oh gosh so many...  I love any kind of “band of brothers” thing (ie FFXV) and I love the “found family” trope.  And I love people coming back from the dead to claim vengeance from beyond the grave (Gungrave, The Crow), annnnnd I love platonic but SUPER INTIMATE friendships.  

Is there something you’re looking forward to? Warmer weather!

What did you do today? Worked from home because Austin was iced over and it was dangerous to drive with all the hills.  Also went to barre class and took the pup on a long, very cold walk.  And cooked food!  And watched a BUNCH of movies as I worked from home!

What is one food you could eat every day for a week without getting sick of it? I already eat eggs most days if not every day and I never get sick of them.
