#ask: bondwidth

I really hope this isn't rude but I'm curious why there's been no bondwidth/blackberries art for a while. I know you're busy with the webcomics (which are amazing!!) but idk I miss the scary assassin enby

SO BASICALLY I have come to accept this year that my motivation for sharing Bondwidth stuff publicly has basically plummeted from 100% to a good solid 35% after I posted a pic of Nova and Pluto kissing a year or so ago to show their size difference and I had people on Twitter and Instagram tell me I'm a weirdo and accuse me of being a gross person since many thought Nova was a child and Pluto was an adult when Nova AND Pluto are both adults (Nova is even older), it's just that Nova is short and Pluto is one of my largest OCs that tower over most of my roster due to being a alien cyborg.

It's been cleared up and I thought I'd be over it by now but it turns out stuff on the internet stick with you sadly so I've taken to just drawing it on the occasion when I have the energy for it but keeping it more on the down low. It's why you guys see a flood of Beanstalked and Glitter and Guilt stuff but only like...one picture every 6 months of Bondwidth (if we're lucky). I just don't got that motivation like I used it.

Hopefully when I finish this intro arc for Glitter and Guilt, I'll be more energized to work on Bondwidth stuff but at the moment my juice for it has been real low and I don't like to force myself to draw things if I'm not feeling it.

Don't worry about me scrapping the story, it's still going to happen, but it'll be at a much slower pace than before and it's probably gonna take awhile so other stories might come out before it.

It's just hard for me to take Nova and Pluto out of my banners and Rockstar Trio stuff since I do think about them daily like all my other main stories and I still love them a lot. I just don't have the energy to post about them online right now.

You have spoken at length about how you can't stand people ascribing dog traits to Nana, but does Nova have any silly catlike habits? (I already know about her guilty fondness for wet cat food, but are there any others?)

Yeah since she is literally a cat alien. Like - her mom is literally a big giant cat and her dad is a human dude.

So she def has her fair share of goofy cat moments like stimming via making biscuits or forgetting to put her tongue back in her mouth.

I'm guessing you're talking about Nova and her mom, who is super fluffy. I wouldn't say she's ever gotten lost since she just followed her mom's voice when she was a small kitten and she'd find her way out the fluff. But meowling childcare means it's pretty normal and expected for their kits to basically chill in their parent's fur for safety and security.

Old news is old, but I think a compromise for the loss of Nova's jacket would be to just steal one of Pluto's--that girly could rock a spiked jacket

Oh, Nova has a new little gamer jacket now

It shows off her body much better (which is def important)

However, I HAVE made a mini comic where she has stolen Pluto's jacket once

Does Pluto ever get flustered?

Sometimes.

They often get "nosebleeds" when they do

(I think I accidentally misgendered Pluto so please ignore my last ask!) Since Pluto is a cyborg, were they created in a lab or were they a regular person who became a cyborg?

They were born human before being turned into a cyborg by their parents. At the time, they wanted to become an experiment just so they'd finally pay attention to them but that was the day their parents stopped being mom and dad because now they only view them as a walking weapon

Nova is in fact 5'3

But she is also dating Pluto, who is 8'0 (8'5 when I am having a good day)

So even an average height looks bitesized to them.

Yep.

HOWEVER - just to clarify in case people missed it - Amara's actual birthday is February 13th, alongside Bitterbat's. She just lies when she is a magical girl and says her birthday is on the 14th.

Pluto's birthday is January 1st. That's a little unrelated but just in case people were curious - there ya go.
