He stares at his lap and fiddles with his hands as he slowly starts to talk.“Well, can’t do much more harm than- To be honest, I like the things we do already, as friends. If we could do something like going out to eat at one of our regular haunts, or have take-out and a movie, but with little romantic things thrown in, I’d be ecstatic. It doesn’t need to be anything over the top with PDA, I’m just a sucker for cliches, ya dig? Roses and hand holding, things like that.”

Aizawa looked up from the papers he was grading and blinked a few times, processing the question. His brows furrowed slightly and he set down his pen, folding his hands together on the desk as he stared intensely at the student in front of him.

“Why are you asking, Ojiro?” He wouldn’t give him a straight answer yet. Aizawa needed to know the reasoning behind the question–was he planning on dropping out? The thought of it sent a pang of sadness through his chest. Did he fail as a teacher…?

The teen felt himself shrink away from his teacher’s gaze slightly, eyes darting to the side. He should have known Aizawa would have asked why he was asking if he could leave the school, any sane teacher would do, but door some reason, he had wished he wouldn’t.

“Ah, I was..just thinking and I got curious.” Even as Ojiro said this, he wouldn’t look at his teacher, hands moving behind him. In all reality, he had been thinking about what had been said to him before. How he was worthless, how his quirk was worthless, how he should just leave the school and let someone better take his place. In his mind these days, it was true, he should leave, let someone from one of the other classes take his place.

He just needed to know if it was possible, first.

Sensei? This is kind of a dumb question, but... How do you find the will to keep going? I've just been so tired for what feels like months, and everything just feels hopeless, like I shouldn't bother because I'll never get anywhere in life anyway... Do you ever feel like that? Ahh, sorry I kinda rambled on, but... You're honestly kinda an inspiration to me? So, uh... Y-Yeah?

It’s hard. It really is.

What keeps me going is the people I care about. My friends, students, family... I could never imagine leaving them behind.Not to mention, I’m too damn stubborn and have too much of a “screw you” attitude to let life get to me.

You will get somewhere in life if you try. So what if it’s not at the very top? As long as you do what you wanna do, and it’s what you love, it shouldn’t matter if it gets you somewhere big or not. Just knowing that you made a difference to at least yourself or a few people is something.

I’m not going to sugarcoat things and say “It’ll be okay!” because honestly life sucks and you’ll go through plenty more shit. But if you’re strong, you can pull through it, and someday you’ll be able to laugh and say “I made it and I’m still alive, I’m stronger than you/I thought!”

Remember it’s okay to cry and feel bad. It’s okay to be depressed. The important thing is to not let it ruin you or your life.
