um im still new to everything but i was wondering is it possible to worship two separate gods for example both Nyx and Artemis even though they come from different beliefs? Im still trying to figure out what gods i want to dedicate myself to but like some from different mythos
What you should probably look into is eclectic paganism, that’s the umbrella term for people who use multiple pantheons or modes of Doing Things (there might be others, that’s just the term I’m familiar with)
A good idea would be to look into what both of those gods (or any others you have interest in) represent, and if they are conflicting personalities or from conflicting pantheons, just make sure to treat them as such! Don’t fall into the trap many people do, where they begin to divorce these beliefs from their original culture. Gods belong in a pantheon and to a culture for a reason, they are not just figures you can mix and match willy nilly and say they’re ~all from nature~~ or whatever.
As a note - not to discourage, I’m also eclectic, but just so you know - there are surely people who do NOT think you should be able to mix pantheons, and you should stick to one, but mixing pantheons is absolutely something even ancient peoples did.You should NOT appropriate from cultures that you have no claim to (African and diasporic religions, many Asian religions, very broadly) but generally worshipping gods from different places is not a bad thing!
Probably there are other people who know more, or who can give you more in-depth answers, so if people can join in the discussion, that would be great :)
