No, no that's a good point. I (don't know why I sent it anon, but yknow, anxiety) consider most of my mutuals 'friends' but wouldn't presume to actually talk to them 😅 especially if (and I know this is a terrible way to look at it) they're a more popular blog/tiktoker with more followers than me

Yeah no I get that. Bigger blogs do come across as more unapproachable in the same way I feel that cliques in school do (god that's such a horrible comparison I'm sorry) it's that same sort of situation I feel where they seem less like humans and more like ideals. God that sounds worse, I can't explain it but I know what you mean
I still regard mutuals as like 'friends' but I feel there is a difference between them in the same way work friends, family friends, childhood friends and friend friends are different. There's different levels to them but no less important ya know?
