The ghost curiously drifted towards her, "You don't seem to be a ghost type either, is there a reason for you living in this area? You don't normally see ghost types mixing with the living."

Shauna smiled, watching Ivy drift and float about her as she continued on her way. She released her wand from her left paw, allowing it to float and follow her as she brought out her utensils to write with in response. She slowed a bit in her pace, becoming distracted.

Shauna: [But my mom needed a place to hide, and we Hestias regularly deal with ghosts. Even my dad is part Ghost. So naturally, this place was chosen.]

Shauna: [If you're used to it, or if you're a certain type, you can resist it. Otherwise you'd doze off deep, out in the open. Which is very, very dangerous!]
Shauna: [There's void shadows and hungry ghost ferals everywhere. It would be a very easy meal for them if they found you in your sleep.]
No sooner did she finish writing the above and showing it to the Mismagius, she completely stopped walking. Her ears both perk straight up, hearing something lurking nearby.
The next moment she whirled around, and the staff flicked in the air as its flame burned brighter...
Shauna used Burning Jealousy!
Neutralizing the foe Pokemon stalking them in the brush.
Which, as it melted and then dissolved in the fire, turned out to be a void shadow in disguise.
Shauna huffed, watching the flames steadily die down, sulking at having been interrupted. Then she turned to Ivy and smiled cheerily again, scribbling a new message.
Shauna: [We should hurry up.]
And she would go about her way again in a slightly faster pace.
