[Nat huffed quietly with amusement as he watched Umbra pull her trainer back to the present-his own pokemon would do the same if the chance presented itself, which while not as often anymore were still recent enough to see himself in the pair.]

Would you be surprised to hear Lance was the one to reach out? Clair brought the formal invitation in his place, but he... specifically asked for me. All the same I'm super excited to go! Also intimidated, I know the reputation the Dragon's Den has. Still crazy to think I'll be there.

[He recalls Shiho, how the Flygon maneuvered through the cave all that time ago in the race that they all participated in. Nat grinned to the thought of what the dragon might be like during an average day, almost as if a challenge.]

Well if you ever need help, I'll be around more often! I may not have a lot of dragons beyond my team, but I'd think I have a better feel for the type between them and the dragons of the cave.

I'm looking forward to seeing all I can over there! My training is nothing short, I'll be there for quite a bit of time. So much I actually have to get my trainer card updated once I'm there so it reflects the fact I'll be living in Blackthorn. Hopefully I'll have some time in between things to explore-secret areas too.

Lucian@Nat: After firing a reassuring text from his phone, he peered up at Umbra's insistent paw on his face. Seeing the familiar face, Lucian rushed over with a bright smile. "Hey!" Extending a hand, he grinned, "I never thought I would see you here. How was it after the battle? Sinnoh that is? I haven't been there yet myself but maybe someday. What are your next plans? Maybe you should come out to Johto..." He pauses, remembering the numerous amount of dragon types. "I know you would love Blackthorn...," he mutters.

[Nat reaches for the extended hand with his usual grin, laughing a bit afterwards.]

Good to see you, yeah! I actually live out here, not Alola. I think you can see why I kinda... lie about it around others. Things were... a bit washy, admittedly, but everything is fine now. Result justifies the means type of thing, in a way.

[He still seemed to dance around about what happened in the tournament, both from not fully remembering but also not wanting to remember the altercation that came. His expression lifted at the mention of Blackthorn however, grinning once again.]

That's actually the plan! Actually pretty soon, like after-this-party soon hehe. I've been instructed to wait until the final snow of the season to go on over there to start training for my Dragon Master title, to give the team as much time to adjust to the colder temps as possible.

If I got the time, that means you'll be seeing me around! I've been scoping out places I want to explore if I get the downtime. Cherrygrove, Cianwood, and Goldenrod are on my list to hit for sure. With Kanto only a train ride over too, I want to take a look around if I can in that area too!

Lucian@???: The trainer's gaze took in the spacious study, eyes lingering over the finer tapestry hanging on the wall. Seeing such a cloth in pristine shape felt timeless, admiring the piece in silence. Meanwhile, his Umbreon, Umbra, stretched to drape herself over his shoulders, kept her eyes on the Haxorus, unyielding, watching the dragon's every move. He was drawn to the lights upon the star map almost if they pulsated with life. But his hands were firmly at his side as he turned to face the woman here. One would easily be able to tell the thirst for knowledge, the curiosity burning in his eyes but he reminded himself to be polite.

“I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself there. I assume you're the professor of this place?” He had no other way of describing her, her study reminding himself of the ones in Unova except hers appeared more cleaner. No dusty desk or books scattered about. No coffee stains marking book and paper. 

“Can I ask what you study here? I find myself interested in knowing, if you mind explaining, that is?”

[Alruba eyes how he had to tear his gaze away from the tapestry, following his line of sight of the fabric before making eye contact with the likes of recognition. Another curious mind, another just like her. It was like looking back in time when she was around his age-captivated by things that felt eternal.]

Never apologize for curiosity. Curiosity is what makes the world go 'round, after all. Sure it may cause some trouble, but I often find it worth it.

[She smirks to herself as she looked back on her own experiences and what it took to get her to where she was, allowing herself a moment before looking back with a bow of their head to Lucian.]

My study originates in the origins of dragons, young one. There are many accounts that they came from the heavens in the form of meteors, when the constellation of Draco was at her highest and held Thuban as the pole star. A creation deity in of herself, one to rival Arceus. Myths always contain truth, I want to know just how far that truth goes.

There's only so many myths and records to go through in the world however. On top of mythology and genealogy, I've extended my reach to research dimensions. I more or less have the answers I initially desired, but I still find myself in this raboot-hole of researching. There's always something to learn, something to uncover.

[She gestures to the Haxorus nearby, crimson eyes staring at Alruba before shifting to a more relaxed position. It looked like any standard Haxorus at first glance-but a longer look revealed key details. The crest on the head was longer, extending to the rest of the body. What could be assumed to be vestigial wings... shoulders with more armored plating than the standard, the tail was longer too, and with the markings on their body it was as if...]

Lamassu. I've traced that she's a descendant of Palkia. Which one, if there are others, I wouldn't know... not yet at least. Perhaps one day.

Vekpa @ Lief: HEY. I heard a RUMOR that one can be BOOTED from the SLEEPOVER if they cause TROUBLE… You think anyone here is a TROUBLEMAKER?

Lief had been standing over the snack bar, perhaps wondering how much of it he could stuff in his tail, when he jumped at Vepka's voice.

He whirled around to face the Solgaleo with a look of shock, before trying to be casual like he wasn't up to something right then.

Lief: "Uhhh... no? Nope. No trouble over here!"

Lief: "By the way, this isn't what it looks like. Uhh, none of that was what it looks like-"

Still being somewhat shaken up from just earlier, he found himself stammering over his words and slurring a series of half-baked excuses as he began attempting to explain himself.

Much too distracted with Vepka, he unknowingly created the perfect storm of being scared shitless by what happened next.

lustrous-dawn asked: Tora@Lief: The little Landorus was on the prowl. She smelled snacks. Berries. Her mouth watered as she stalked about, silent like the beast costume she wore. There. Her eyes locked on the prize. "BERRIES!" She exclaimed, pouncing the hybrid from the behind. "Gimme, gimme!" She latched on for dear life, searching for the would be berries she scented.

The scream he made upon being jumped from behind, one would think a child to have made that scream.

But alas, such a high-pitched, frightened wail could only come from a feral Pokemon whose only true fear in life was happening right this moment; just not in the way he thought.

Lief: "SWEET CREATOR OF GODS DON'T HURT ME-!"

He began dashing about on all fours and attempting to shake Tora off, not unlike a startled cat.

Lief: "GET OFF GET OFF GET OFF HOLY SHIT THAT HURTS"

He was moving about so erratically that yet again, the treats he stashed in his tail came tumbling loose. He was leaving behind a trail of berries where he ran.

All while he screamed an assortment of paranoid thoughts and ramblings in between him begging for Tora to let go.

Lief: "I KNEW IT, I KNEW YOU POKEMON WANTED TO MAKE A SNACK OUT OF ME-!!"

Lucian@Nat: The young man waved at the pair with a warm smile as he approached slowly. At the sight of the little ones, he succumbed like the rest of them, crouching low, on his belly. He whispered excitedly, "They're so cute! A sentret with Vulpix even!" He was astonished. So rare, captivated by its glistening coat. "You have a name for them?" He seemed to forgot what he came for, riveted by the little ones.

Gabe: Of course, when and if they want to have a different name I'm sure they'll tell us.

Nat: But I think they like them for now!

Zhen@??? The Ho-oh calmly perches beside the individual. He doesn't say much, he seems to understand the undercurrent their tone. When he speaks, his voice is somber, "Just offering a bit of my company if you don't mind. What's your name?"

"Goodness! Forgive me for being lost in thought... I didn't hear you arrive!" The Gardevoir clears her throat, turning to face the shining legendary with a warm smile. While her earlier words had been somber, there was no trace of it now in her gentle movements. "I am Kreilanna. It is nice to meet you! And to be on the receiving end of your company, of course."

Zhen@Queztal: The Ho-oh's gaze shifted between the pair, the faintest of emotion flickering their golden depths. Concern? Worry? Envy? It was difficult to tell but his eyes focused on the serpent, unreadable. "I see you care about this kid very much. That is easy to tell. That flight you both did... Was that make sure you stay in sync? What happens if you don't?"

Thankfully, nothing horrible would happen if we didn't occasionally sync up. We'd simply just...be out of sync with each other. Recalibrating, as Nat calls it, would help me with my Mega Evolution though with how tied to wishes it is.

By recalibrating and syncing once again, we become tuned to each other. With long enough duration, we know each others thoughts. It's how we catch up after long periods of time-a little like a two-way telepathy, sort of.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a flight, but flying helps us focus on one thing together.

I personally enjoy our night flights, it really just...reminds me of what I've grown to love about humanity.

I look to the night, I see deep space. Endless distance between so many stars.

Humans? They see shapes, and those shapes have names and stories. They used to look to them to find their way in the dark, used to farm by their positions, tell the time of year by them.

Even with all the malice humanity is capable of, there's still something good in them. I've seen a lot, I've been put through a lot, but there's still something worth protecting in it all.

[He smiled softly to himself, looking from the opening of the cavern ceiling over to the phoenix nearby.]

I'm sure you have your own experiences and relations with humans, right? It must be worlds different with how much Johto holds onto its traditions, assuming not much has changed. It's been...a long time since I had been close to the region.

The Ho-oh glances at Bluey before turning his attention to Bastion. "Say you like her, don't you? I know its rough hearing what she said then, I don't think its too late, Ya know. Give it a bit of time. Need a little convincin' you know?"

Bastion: Don't get me wrong I care for and love Bluey. We've known each other our whole lives. She was all I had for over a decade regarding companionship. Even though I do have feelings I care enough about Bluey to want her to be happy and find someone perfect for her even if it isn't me. But it's this guy she's into that I can't stand. Bastion: This guy has only taken her for granted. She's been doing everything right when it comes to Bisharp courtship and it's as if she was doing it at a brick wall. It's infuriating because Bluey goes out of her way for this guy and his little brother and never even asks for so much as a thank you. She's so kind, so caring, and genuinely is a good person despite it all, and I know this guy is just gonna treat her like garbage. Bluey deserves a good relationship. I just don't want a guy like that to make Bluey....stop being Bluey. Bastion: But then again maybe this guy really just is the world's densest Bisharp. Maybe all it takes is her literally spelling it out for him. If he makes her happy I want her to be happy. It stings yeah. But I am not gonna ruin what might make her happy, and give her the one thing she's wanted since we were kids, just for my own selfish feelings that I can't even tell if it's really romantic or platonic love in nature. It's just complicated....y'know.
