Wow man, it looks super dark in there. Are the lights messed up or somethin?

Nico: I don’t think so. I think the scientists just want to conserve energy so they keep the lights off down here in the failures cells all the time. The ones in the successful cell room are on during the day but off at night, though. That isn’t really a problem to us though, since most of us can see in the dark. I don’t think its an issue to the failures either due to the walking lightbulb behind me.

Payton! Haven't seen you in a while! So, I was wondering something. What led you to join the police?

Oh, that's...  That's a hell of a story, that.

Well, where to start?...  My trainer and I were part of an elite military black ops unit tasked with patrolling behind the lines in the far east theater back during the war, when we both got trapped in a valley pass by an entire battalion.  We valiantly fought back and must have assassinated half of them before they realized someone was in their lines.  But they caught us and shot us full of holes and left us for dead, then our comrades found us.

But they weren't about to let it end there!  No, they took us home and this crazy scientist decided we could be saved.  Not just saved, but rebuilt.  Remade!  Better.  Faster.  Stronger.  We were made the first true cyborgs.

So when she was through the military stuck us with a police unit to find out if we were capable of working to our old standards again, and here we are, being asked questions about our past.

It's tragic, it is.
