do the members of the houses have a found family sort of feeling amongst them? do they feel connected to each other? what's the vibe?

Good question! It would certainly vary and take shape as writers build their connections. But it's my opinion that each house has a specific 'culture' and 'vibe.'

House of Minerva - This house is connected by a common idea of moral law and goodness. Natural leaders and philosophers, they are bonded by their pursuit of what is ethical and good. This can make for very powerful relationships, since shared ideologies often have that effect.

House of Mercury - Because the souls of this house are primarily pragmatic and business-like, they operate in similar fashion as a group. There are some close relationships, but given the values of the people in this house, are almost always subject to personal benefit. Cut throat at times, but always fair.

House of Jupiter - Arguably the house with the most quintessential portrayal of 'found family.' Because the people in this house are innately social and influential, they tend to look out for one another and keep their doors open to any lost of misguided soul. These bonds are primarily built out of kindness and optimism.

House of Janus - I'd argue these connections most resemble old, mafia tropes. There is a significant emphasis on loyalty, blood relations, and earning one's place in the structure. Despite being the most volatile of houses, they are also the most permissive of individualism.

As mentioned in our lore, The Middle looks different from every soul's perspective. As a result, it's a wide range - from ethereal beauty to dangerous purgatory. How you interpret it is up to you, and will evolve as we get further into game play.

This is kind of a two part question, sorry if it gets a bit rambly, lol. but why would this unprecedented relationship be considered ‘the beginning or the end’? Is it the nature of how it all transpired and ended? And why does Zahra want Serena to find the murderer before House Minerva? Is it because it’s simply in Zahra’s nature to have leverage at all times?

Hi Anon, I'll answer this in two parts:

1.) The Unprecedented Romance is considered the 'beginning of the end' from a metaphysical perspective. A big theme of the RP is the concept of souls, and how their lives take on a similar path in previous iterations. That is why, in The Middle, they can gain some insight into the past. What is different about this romance is that it breaks away from what has 'always happened.' And as a result, our souls find themselves in uncharged territory. One where the balance is thrown off, and loyalties are blurred.

2.) Zahra is indeed a strategic thinker, and would want as much leverage as possible. Especially since it is her husband's brother that was murdered. That - and if the House of Minerva finds out first, it gives them more power and legitimacy in the public eye.

ah i'm a little confused about a location, what exactly is the sunghee collective?

I've updated the locations page for further clarity, but to answer your question - the Sunghee Collective is best thought of as a co-op, consisting of different people who work together for a common goal. In this case, it's general governmental and commercial reform. They typically organize protests, rallies, etc. at this location and it is run by Sunghee Iseul. Hope this answers it!

so in traveling to the middle - is it someplace that one would go often? is it something that encompasses all of their senses when they’re within it?

Great question! A soul can enter the Middle as often or as infrequently as they would like. However, there are times when it is a requirement. Specifically, when Elders receive instruction from the entity of the Gods themselves.

In terms of senses, yes - when a soul is in The Middle, it encompasses all of their senses. Any experiences that occur there are as real as when they exit. A good example is if a soul enters and gets into an altercation with another soul. Both the physical touch, as well as the affect of it lasts after they exit.
