Dear Diary,
You know how I’ve written before about the quiet Hufflepuff girl who I think is somehow related to the Potters, even though they rarely interact with her? The one who’s almost as quiet as me, except she seems more interested in art than in reading?
I finally talked to her today, and she’s so sweet! I don’t know why I was so scared to talk to her before, except that I guess sometimes it’s hard for people to talk to me, and she already seems so shy, I didn’t want her to feel overwhelmed or anything like that.
Anyway, we got paired together in Herbology, and she was the first person who hasn’t seemed annoyed when I care more about the origins and historical significance of plants than I care about actually getting my hands dirty and planting things.
Although I wonder if she’s ever used dirt instead of paint? That would be kind of an interesting picture. I should ask if she does that.
I’m really glad that all the people in my year have been so lovely so far, diary! And I’m glad that now I can add Cassie to that list. It’s been five months and I STILL LOVE HOGWARTS <3
